Dr. Ruth Wilkins Orth, MD

Dr. Orth makes you feel very comfortable and helps you in every way possible. She takes the time to hear you out and answers all your questions. Very kind and personable too.

I chose to be referred to Dr. Orth because my sister goes to her. I called to check to see if my records were received about two months ago by leaving a voicemail. I did not get a call back. I called again a month later and was told that the doctor was still reviewing my records. Ok, I am done with this office. I mean how long does it take to review records. The doctor may not even know that her staff is incompetent so I am not blaming her. I have never even had an appointment and needless to say, I won't be going there.

Dr. Orth always listens and answers my questions. She has kept me in good health. I have confidence in her, she is knowledgeable.

She doesn't keep up with latest medicine and she does not try to help.

Dr. Orth does not prepare for your visit at all. She reviews your file there. If you have any questions, she will say I do not know, you need a second opinion. Don't bother.

I believe I figured Dr Orth out my second visit, I think she abhors people on Medicaid. She is short,rude and very rushed, When I ask a question, she responds "I do not know what to tell you" I TOLD HER FROM VISIT ONE I AM ALLERGIC to most pain meds so I was not there to get pain killers,that I wanted solutions to solving my pain that were non narcotic SO SHE KNOWS I AM NOT PILL SEEKING. She is just rude and truly seems to hate her occupation. My main Doctor is searching for a new Doctor for me. I pray one is found.

The staff in this office must be very unhappy at their jobs. No one says Hello when you come in. They don't speak to you unless spoken to. When you call to ask questions they say they will get back to you and often don't. Don't expext Dr. Orth to ever call you. The person who files the insurance claims can not answer any qusetions for you. They won't fax medical prescription forms for you. I would find a new place to go.

This is a rheumatologist who has no business working with people who are in legitimate pain. She refuses to answer questions, pharmacological knowledge is next to none, and is will walk out of a room and not return if you tell her that you feel there is more which should be being done once her very small trials of medications on their starter doses do not work for you. Save your time and your minimal energy and find someone who cares.

Dr Orth is a very likable and very competent Dr. Other Dr.'s think well of her and work very well with her. Inflammatory diseases can be a challenge for both a patient and a doctor. I keep good notes and find she is easy to talk to and answers all my questions.

Dr. Orth is great, no complaints.Office staff not very helpful.
