First, notice 50% of the 5-star reviews come on the same day. I was a patient of Rosenberg's in my late adolescence. Her treatment of me created long term problems that I deal with now in my 30s. She gaslight me for 3 years with her condescending attitude and generally bad faith rationale. If you are a parent reading this, please do not bring your son or daughter here. Dr. Rosenberg may tell you the things you want to hear, but I promise you, your child's well being is much more important than having your own biases confirmed. I eventually got my life together, but Dr. Rosenberg's treatment set me back at least 5 years. What ever you do, DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY HERE!

Almost all of my experiences with Dr. Rosenberg were very upsetting and caused a lot of unneeded stress and agirvation for me. One of the first issues is her condescending judgemental attitude. I never felt like I was being heard despite constantly voicing my concerns to her. I was started on the medication Viibryd before I was a patient of Dr. Rosenberg. She recommended that I increase the dose of Viibryd to a higher therapeutic dose, which I agreed would make sense. After reaching that dose, I started experiencing horrible side effects which included only what I can describe as brain-zaps and sleep paralysis. These are not uncommon side effects with Viibryd and I have been on many different medications over the years so I have a lot of knowledge as a patient. Dr. Rosenberg said that she never heard of these side effects with Viibryd and refused to take me off the medication. I reluctantly had to start tapering the medication myself to get relief from these unbearable side… effects. When I was able to get myself down to a lower dose the side effects did subside. Dr. Rosenberg refused to admit that it was from the Viibryd which really made me loose confidence in her knowledge of treatment. Another issue was the refill of medication. As I mentioned the dose of the Viibryd was increased while I was under her “care”. It took her a couple of days to finally respond to my request for a refill so by then I was having withdrawal side effects, which are even worse than regular side effects. Dr. Rosenberg made the process of calling in a simple prescription request even more complicated by saying, with your insurance it won’t get approved and I will have to fill out a prior authorization and that will take time and probably end with the medication not being approved anyway. I told her that it won’t be a problem and that I’ve had to do it before and they will approve it. Of course, they did approve it but Dr. Rosenberg just blamed me for not letting her know that I was running low on medication and that she needs at least a week, or some ridiculous amount of time to call in prescriptions. She could not even admit that it was her error for not calling in a prescription for the correct dose in the first place. She made this process so complicated and stressful and I had to be without my medication, and receive blame too. Finally, after being on a lower dose of Viibryd for some time, she recommend that I increase the dose. I told her I would not be comfortable doing that since that would lead to the unbearable side effects returning. Of course, she still wouldn’t admit that Viibryd was causing those side effects in the first place and she said she never heard of the side effects I was experiencing. Even though the side effects all but went away at a lower dose?? My last session with her was very upsetting. I told her that I wanted to come off of the Viibryd completely since I was not seeing any benefit from being on it. Since I also have Lyme Disease, my Lyme Disease Specialist said that if I was to come off the Viibryd, he would be able to treat me with an antibiotic he believed would have better results but could not be used in combination with Viibryd since they do not interact well together. For me, it made even more sense to discontinue Viibryd since I wasn’t receiving much benefit from it to begin with and also so I could receive more beneficial treatment for my ongoing Lyme Disease symptoms. Of course, Dr. Rosenberg could not see the logical reasoning behind this and during my last visit with her, the focus was on why I was not helping my parents out more and if I really wanted to do something productive with my life I would do it, but only if my back was against a wall. After this rant, she said, well I’m not a therapist but I still think that’s the issue. She brought up my suicide attempt of two years ago on just about every visit, which really upset me. I truly believe that she is more concerned about liability and the possible loss of money than the patients she is supposed to be helping.

Dr Rosenberg accurately diagnosed me when multiple prior doctors did not. She was patient and compassionate with me. She took the time to make sure I fully understood the potential risks and benefits of medications. When I needed her urgently, she was very accessible.
