Dr.Shields, Kelly and Brittany have taught me a healthier way to eat and manage my food cravings. As a result, I have dropped to a healthier weight and more importantly, my high cholesterol has dropped 70 points, while my LDL has dropped 66 points. Highly recommend Dr Shields and her staff to support you in a healthy lifestyle change.

I recently had a conversation with a friend about worst doctor experiences and this prompted me to look up Dr Shields. I'm disappointed to see she's still practicing. I was a patient about 15 years ago, when I was in my late teens. She disclosed to my mother that I was sexually active, tricked me into taking antidepressants, and contributed to my body weight issues. Pointing to a square on the BMI chart and insisting I promise to join the YMCA or else the appointment wouldn't end wasn't constructive - it was threatening, yet as a teen I didn't have the words to stand up to her bullying. Maybe she's a fine doctor for adults looking to have children, my mother loved her, but young women should stay away.

she gave me my life back after i had suffered with endometriosis for years....bunch of sexist male dcotors wouldn’t operate on me because i “might change my mind & want kids” .....she listened to my pain...so i had a hysterectomy, she said it was the worst endo she’d seen....but my surgery & recovery went well and i continue to be grateful, no pain. [no regrets, either]

Dr.Shields is all of the above and more. I wish I had known her a year ago, she's helping me get the weight off.

Awesome dr! Very respectful of your desires in a given situation, doesn't mind questions, or asking for alternative/more conservative treatment.

Dr. Shields, has always taken her time to solve the problem,she explains what she is doing and she listens to my concerns.She is a caring doctor who wants to help her patients.
