Ruth Tatara, MSN, CNM

As a certified nurse-midwife, I see my primary role as listening to and partnering with women and their families. This takes place across a woman's lifespan whether they are pregnant, giving birth, postpartum, seeking well-women care, interested in family planning, or coming in with concerns about their health. I am excited to get to know you and your family while providing excellent care and valuable information to improve your life experience. My passion for helping others isn’t just within the hospital, I volunteer within the Kalamazoo Public Schools and host various blanket making events for hospitalized children. During my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, camping, hiking and visiting Lake Michigan. From a young age, I was driven to make a difference in the lives of others, and a career in nursing afforded me the opportunity to do that every day at work.
