Ryan Acks, PA-C

Ryan Acks is a physician assistant at MSU Health Care Sports Medicine, where he focuses on fostering positive relationships with patients and their families through collaboration with other healthcare professionals. He began his medical education at the University of Cincinnati, earning a bachelor’s degree in health sciences with a minor in psychology, before completing his master’s in physician assistant studies at Kettering College in Ohio.


Acks brings a wealth of experience from working in a wide range of specialty clinics, including pediatric, cardiology, family medicine, behavioral health, emergency medicine, women’s health, cardiothoracic surgery, and orthopedics. He also worked as a patient care associate at the University of Cincinnati Orthopedics and Trauma Medical Center, where he collaborated with the healthcare team to implement care plans and assist patients with daily activities.


During his studies, Acks gained valuable hands-on experience at the …University of Cincinnati Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Medical Center, where he observed and assisted physician assistants in patient care. He also served as a Student Research Associate, conducting concussion baseline tests and vision training for football and baseball athletes.


In addition to his extensive clinical experience, Acks holds several certifications, including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association, as well as State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification from the Ohio Department of Health.
