Dr. Ryan Joseph Baxter, MD

I have always been comfortable and completely satisfied and happy with Dr.Baxter.

I grew up with one doctor from infant to the birth of my own children and into their toddler years. It broken my heart when he retired. I tried to find a new doctor after his retirement, but just was not comfortable with any of them. So I delayed this task for several years since I was not a sickly person. Then a need came where I needed a doctor, and Dr Baxter was accepting new patients. Nervous and diagnosed with a medical issue that needed immediate care planning, I drug myself in to meet this new doctor. I fell in love with him on my first visit. He was caring and compassionate and understanding of my personal needs, and not only prepared a medical plan, but monitored the progress all along the way. I wasn't just making progress, we were surpassing our plan in strides with excitement. Dr Baxter was an inspiration with the knowledge and encouragement I needed. Although Dr Baxter was my medical provider for only a short time due to relocation, I will never forget the difference he… made in my life (health). If I could, I would give 3 thumbs up...But for now, will give 2 thumbs up! Most definitely a doctor I would recommend.

Don't use him

I've been going to Dr. Baxter for about 1-1/2 years for my Fibromyalgia. He is very knowledgeable about this area and has helped me more in this short time than several other doctors in 20 years. I can ask him anything and he always has a plan. He's leaving the state and he will be surely missed. It's been a long time since I've had a doctor who actually listens and can help.

This is a doctor that does not care about people at all. He doesn’t listen to his patients and is WAY too analytical to be a doctor. He has zero empathy or understanding and treated me very badly in the short year and a half I went to him. Thankfully, I switched to a physician at HGB and have been beyond satisfied with the quality of care. Everything I asked of him, he ignored. I went to Hayes, asked a different doctor and so far have been diagnosed with 5 autoimmune diseases and had surgery to repair an issue that was causing chronic pain. All I can recommend is do not waist time, money or energy on this man. He will ignore everything you say especially if you use the word pain. The only thing I have to say is, Dr. Baxter, I was not pain seeking, I now have 5 different diagnoses that would cause the amount of pain I was experiencing. If you were any good at listening to people, you would’ve sent me to a rheumatologist like I had asked instead of labeling me a pain med seeker.

We are new patients of Dr. Baxter- He is awesome and we are very thankful that he was accepting new patients!!
