He is a good doctor but make sure to double check your scripts because he tends to write them out wrong. I had to see him and he was quick to see me and spend time going over all my scripts but the two that were the most important he got them wrong and I had to go to my Spine Doctor to get them changed. Otherwise he was very courteous and spent time looking at my back.

My mother had a pre-surgery appointment with Dr. Burch when her regular doctor was out of town and the surgery couldn't wait for his return. One of the reasons I often go to Mom's doctor appointments - and she's had many the last 5 years - is because too many doctors don't have the compassion or patience to work with older people. Dr. Burch engaged her, spoke directly to her, took the time to answer her questions, spoke clearly and with understandable language, and treated her like she deserves to be treated. He reviewed Mom's EEG and labs with us, compared them to previous tests, showed us how things had or had not changed, and took the time to explain how the various results made her a good candidate for, or increased her risks for the surgery. If you are looking for a knowledgeable doctor with recent training (he's young) who is willing to spend a little time with you and answer all your questions and explain his recommendations, this is your guy. I'd never filled out a comment… card at a clinic before but I did my first one after the appointment with Dr. Burch.
