Dr Flannery is companionate, thorough physician. He listens and explains his findings, gives pros & cons. I have every confidence in him.

I had 2 previous neck with lots of hardware and 2 lower spinal surgeries that left me in a boatload of pain ,he helps me manage, with very good listening skills,I highly recommend

Dr Flannery was wonderful. He took an immediate concern for me and my pain. He took as much time as I needed to get to know me and how to treat my condition. He explained a course of treatment that I could understand and answered all of my questions and concerns and trust me I always ask a lot of questions. I feel like I am in excellent hands. I highly recommend Dr. Flannery.

I am currently admitted at Forbes hospital for Pancreatitis and the stay here has been completely horrid and Dr. Flannery really was the icing on the cake. I'm on 1mg dilladid every 3 hours for pain management and although it is helpful initially about an hour to hour and a half it is pretty well worn off an end the pain, although not significant during this time, is enough to keep me up and uncomfortable throughout the night. My attending physician said well if you are having trouble sleeping we should consult the pain management department. Now, I am in recovery, almost 2 years clean, and I'm not comfortable trying to call the shots with meds, but I've had re-occuring pancreatitis for the past 10-11 years with a 6 years dormant and now this episode and everytime I've been given a dilladid pain drip. Once Dr. Flannery entered room, he was very accusatory right off the bat. I make it no secret I'm in recovery, and he said I need to know why you have a tolerance to 1mg dilladid. My… sister was in the room and he pointed at her to say if I gave this to her she would be drooling on herself. This is after he assumed she was a doctor and asked what practice she was with, and when she said she was with me he made a face like wow how do you even have a visitor. Mind you, I've been on dilladid since Friday around 6pm it is 3 days later. Anyone would build a tolerance and not only that, the medical guideline is between .05-2mg per 2-4 hours. I told him I am in recovery but that has nothing to do with my tolerance I've been drug and alcohol free for years. He started telling me hes not even sure why I'm on IV meds to begin with (I've been NPO for 3 days and have all my meds but welbutrin through IV) and this floor isnt equipped to distribute the medication THEYVE HAD MULTIPLE OVERDOSE DEATHS FROM ADMINISTERING THAT DRUG AT THIS HOSPITAL. He asked then what the problem was when laying down, I said my back to my ribs gets so tight I get the sensation I cant breathe and it's so painful. He said well you can breathe i hate to say it's all in your head you're having panic attacks. Really? I've had this 6 times this being my 7th I get the tightness along my bra line everytime and have dealt with this pain years ago after all my episodes so much that I had steroids injected to my ribcage to allow me to wear a bra and get off oral pain meds. He said that doctor shouldn't be practicing that isnt even allowed! I had the procedure done at another pain clinic 7/8 years ago, pretty sure ACMH isnt running some underground steroid game. He said well its used for nerve pain and didnt even give me the chance to say they thought possible nerve damage took place from all the procedures and testing over the years. Then said are you on suboxone or methadone for your recovery, I said I go to meetings. He put his hand on his mouth and an eyebrow up as to say "really?" I couldnt believe how condescending, rude, and accusatory he was! Absolutely unprofessional! Now he wants a jump from being NPO, sick if I eat broth, to go to oral Norco, still NPO, because that will be great on an empty stomach with GI issues. He shouldn't be practicing at all. Filing complaints with hospital and he will be hearing from my lawyer.

The most condescending, arrogant Dr. I've ever been to. I do not recommend. I reported him to my insurance company and to his employer. When I told him I was on disability, he looked askance at me and said for osteoarthritis. I told him I lived in my own home and was responsible for the upkeep inside and out, he suggested I should move into an apartment. Just downright nasty,

I was in a bad accident in 2003. Many long term issues. I have gained weight over the last ten years or so. I attended a other pain clinic before Flannery and I had been a patient there for over 10 years always passing every urinalysis and pill count. Never 1 problem but they quit accepting my insurance. So, I have gone to Flannery now for about 6 mths. Right away he insisted I needed back surgery for no cartilage in my discs. I told him no because I have been through many surgeries to save my leg post accident and 2 knee replacements. The next visit he tells me I am only in pain because I am overweight. Then he starts telling me how much weight I must lose before my next visit or he will NOT write me anymore prescriptions. My bp is always absolutely great. Last time I had an appointment I was so upset my bp was 174 over 90 something.. i have an appointment there in a week and a half but have found a new pain clinic. I. Have enough problems without listening to a demanding,… condescending, person who has no bedside manner and no compassion. Whatsoever... From me he gets 0 stars

Had office visit on Oct 23 for chronic back pain. Dr. Flannery was unprofessional with me and my husband. Refused to treat me because I have a medical marijuana card. I was treated like I was a junkie and I was pill seeking. His entire demeanor changed and he became unprofessional. He refused to treat me at all unless I agreed to have him revoke my medical marijuana card. I felt belittled and helpless because of the way he treated me. I left his office in tears. No patient should ever be treated that way by a physician.

My wife and I would definitely recommend him to friends and relatives. Took time with us listen to our needs. Very caring. Staff was great also.

The absolute worse Dr. I've ever met in my life. Rude, ignorant and no compassion. He called me a drug addict and hacked into my Mental Health records and fabricated a story about me overdosing on prescription drugs. This NEVER happened. I was so shocked at his behavior. I was never treated with so much disrespect. Im 3 months post op shoulder surgery and 2 months into frozen shoulder. He patient profiled me and discriminated against me because of depression and wrote false things in my chart that I now have to contact a lawyer about. Anybody looking for help, please stay away from this guy. I'm calling everybody I know to complain about him and file a report. His behavior is disgusting.
