Dr. Ryan David Gibb, MD

Dr. Gibb was and is helping me with my sciatica. The best!!!

I have been a patient of dr. Gibbs for a few years he is very patient he's very thorough he does a great job of reviewing your history before making decisions and he make decisions with you for what's best for you. He such a good doctor I referred my wife and daughter to him.

Before meeting Dr. Gibb, I had poor treatment for my pain through different doctors and clinics. I have a neurological birth defect that even these doctors couldn’t understand. Dr. Gibb is literally the only pain doctor I have seen that not only was able to explain my defect, and why it would cause me so much pain, but also he was the only one to give me appropriate treatment based on his great expertise and knowledge. Dr. Gibb has changed my life by how he treats me as a person and how he treats my pain. He listens to me and my concerns, and takes whatever time he needs to make sure my treatment is right. I have seen him for almost 3 years and he has always been so encouraging and optimistic and I just really appreciate him and his care. I strongly recommend seeing Dr. Gibb. I trust him whole heartedly. He truly is the best doctor ever and you will be in the best of hands.

i have been a patient of Dr Ryan Gibb for several years now. I was referred to him through my primary care doctor for chronic low back pain. My first visit with Dr Gibb he made eye contact, listened to everything I had to say about my pain, he asked questions and we discussed a treatment plan. He started me on muscle relaxers for the spasms in my back and legs and pain medication for my back pain. With a plan for possible back procedures in the future. After several months of therapy, and increasing my pain medication amount and dosage, he did perform back procedures, on 4 occasions. This made my dependency on the pain medication almost non existant for nearly 6 months. Unfortunately, I am back on the pain medications. Dr Gibb has been wonderful about managing my pain medications over the years. However, I have done my part to report to him every month, follow his advise to try to keep my weight under control and get exercise. Dr Gibb has always been professional, very… compassionate, completely understanding of my limitations and needs. I have never had any complaints about his treatment plan, his care or his manner. Although there have been a couple of times I have had to wait 10 - 15 minutes for him, I don't mind. Every time it was because he was with a patient that needed a few extra minutes of his time. This told me that when I needed extra time, he NEVER rushed me out the door. I have carefully weighed the last few years worth of appointments with Dr Gibb and am a truly satisfied patient of his ongoing care and I am completely comfortable giving him a 5 star rating.

I am a post op patient who was only 4 months out from surgery at the time I saw Dr Gibb (thorasic/lumbar spinal fusion T2-L2, 2 Rods and 26 screws ) I strongly encourage that in the future Dr.Gibb be a bit more open hearted and less judgmental. He should at least try and understand that people who are in legitimate chronic pain are only human just like himself. Try to see them as a whole person someone who has feelings and fears about their current state. . Just because someone in pain is desperately searching for pain relief dose not mean they are drug seekers, it could mean they are relief seekers. Pain is a scary thing and people react as such. I saw Dr Gibb once in office and even though I was scared to try something different than what I was currently on for pain I agreed to try his treatment plan. Following my visit I reached out to him for 3 days before getting a return call. During thst phone call with Dr Gibb it was strongly insinuated that I was a drug seeker. I was… scared and in a panic. I just wanted to have my pain. Controlled! as I said previously I complied with all of his recomendationd for treatment so once I was finally able to get a return phone call from him I informed him that the muscle relaxer he put me on was making me sick had made me vomit with in the first 20-30 mins of taking it. I was then abruptly told I can have a choice of ABC or D for medication (all of which he was fully aware had been tried in the past and did not work) That was it, that was how he was going to manage my care. No discussion allowed no alternative methods of treatment such as trigger point injects, nerve blocks NO OTHER OPTIONS EVEN DISCUSSED just ABC or D. His wording and tone of voice made it extremely clear that not only did he NOT see me as a human being who was ligitamatly hurting but that he was inconvienced by me reaching out to him. How is it that you advertise care and concern for your patients yet you take it upon yourself to assume your patient is a drug seeker and treat them as such after only meeting with them once, especially with receiving a clean urinalysis that only showed the medication that was fully disclosed to you. That’s not compassion or caring. Its passing judgment and treating someone as if they are no better than dirt. I chose to see Dr Gibbs based on the fact that the clinics website made him out to be a concerned and compassionate man who wanted to help others. What I got was a man that saw himself as as a more superior being than his patients and treated them as such. I self discharged because of this reason. I truly hope that Dr Gibb takes a better look in the mirror and that moving forward he will treat his patients with respect and the true compassion they deserve.
