Dr Ryan Heffelfinger, DO

As an RN looking for a highly rated pcp within both my geographical area and within Hartford Healthcare whom I work for, it was an exceptional experience to set up an appointment with him. He was highly recommended by professionals and his office staff was exceptional! Having both an exceptional doctor and office staff, rare to find in healthcare!!

Very attentive & very nice doctor.

Dr. Heffelfinger is the first doctor I've had that I really, truly liked. He'll tell you if he doesn't know something, he's got a great sense of humor, he is compassionate and respectful towards his patients, and it's obvious that he's extremely intelligent. He's a partner his patient's medical care rather than a dictator and he is not intimidated nor offended by questions. I could not speak higher of him, he's just fantastic. He always called me back personally if I had to call in to the office and was thorough. I'm a medically complex individual and he never grew frustrated with my strange symptoms nor did he take it personally when I got worse instead of better. I'm glad he is a younger doctor, I plan on continuing to see him for a long time.

Dr. Heffelfinger is top notch. He was very frank (and profeesional with me) concerning my diagnosis and recommended actions versus his.I asked for a very expensive test and he said it wasn't warranted and explained why. When he was through I had to agree. He did tell me what conditions to watch for that would warrant the test. I trust him implicitly and feel he really cares about me as a person and not "just" a patient.Obviously, patients who do not hear what they want will find fault with his recommendations.I have been in the area 35 years and he is the best Dr. I've had. I just hope he stays !!!

Dr. Heffelfinger cares about the individual patient; he spends time, answers questions, and encourages a dialogue about pertinent health issues. His conservative approach works well with me as a healthy patient (if it ain't broke, don't fix it!)

Like him a lot. He's intelligent and asks perceptive questions. Isn't offended if you ask questions about his recommendations, and is willing to explain other options available. Great guy, he's both my doctor, and my 15 mo son's doctor.
