Dr. Ryan Patrick Johnson, MD

I was in an accident while pregnant so naturally I went to the ER and check to make sure everything was alright with the baby. Mr. Johnson, who apparently was the doctor on duty, didn't even bother to come by and see me personally, but had no problem sending out a huge bill afterwards. he sent a nurse (no offense) instead!! I understand that sometimes nurses and PAs are used, but I'd never had a doctor just not show up at all! I was honestly confused when I got the bill from him because I didn't know who he was because I didn't see an actual dr during my visit!

He was very incompetent of my situation and stuttered the entire time he attempted to discuss my diagnosis. He attempted to remove my husband from the room for questioning his abilities. Even insulted my husband in front of the security guards that he called into the room. I feel he could use some more education and people skills. He is very insecure. They did not even check on me until I requested to leave.

This Doctor came by, said he lost his stethoscope and would be right back. He showed up two hours later and behaved as if he had some long conversation with me prior to finally reviewing my scans and blood work. He was not personable, not friendly, and I may as well have been a piece of furniture in the room as far as how poorly I was treated by him. Thankfully the nurse on duty was much nicer and more attentive and actually behaved as if he cared about my condition after I was in the ER for 8 1/2 hours awaiting treatment. Dr. Johnson is a poor example of what a doctor's behavior should be. Apparently he missed all of the patient-centered care courses at his University. The only good thing that I can say is that the medicine prescribed worked. Thankfully I did not have to see him again.

Very Intelligent, Kind, Thorough, competent. Leaves no stone un-turned. When I think of the ER doctors on the TV show ER, Dr. Johnson is so much more than them.
