Dr. Ryan Franklin Mayhew, MD

Very unprofessional doctor, has no clue to what he’s doing. He’s extremely rude and ignorant. My mother has pulmonary hypertension and oxygen therapy is required. He wants to remove her from oxygen saying “she don’t need it” when she can’t even walk to the bathroom without being out of breath. Her hemoglobin was 7.3 and dropped to 7.1 and he insisted that those numbers are good. She has a history of anemia and is a bleeder, mainly in her stomach. If my doctor told me my hemoglobin (at 7) was dangerously low (and I’m 47, no health issues) how is 7.1 not dangerously low for a 79 year old woman that has pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, heart disease, high blood pressure and a history of anemia? After going back and forth with this idiot doctor, he agreed to give blood transfusion but said if she’s better after the transfusion, she’s leaving the hospital! So we had to file an appeal (which is ridiculous) and next I’ll file a complaint against this doctor.
