Dr. Ryan Timothy Mc Carthy, MD

I am disabled. I was in a terrible motorbike accident. I recently had another accident where I broke my back, pelvis,and shattered my wrist. This accident happened on Labor day of 2018 . I was looking for a good dr for follow up and too look after me in general. I admit that I'm a very oppinatated person and I am not the easiest patient, I have a lot going on. However, a few months ago I made an appointment with this dr hoping that he would help me . Well ... this guy keep in his office for 45 minutes telling me, he keep saying " you got game " like 50 times, he was half listening to me and at the same time stroking his ego . I poured my heart out to this major league creep . My 19 year old son died 5 years ago and I am a mess . He was the worst , most disrespectful dr I have ever met ! He made me feel 10 times worse than when I came in ! On top of that he said he was going to call my old dr and tell her that I came to see him. Is that even legal ? I mean this guy went out of his way… to be mean ! I am disabled and need health care. As I was leaving the dr turns to me and says " I think I'll do just fine without you " why would anyone ever say that to someone who truly is really hurting ? My friend if you are looking for a good dr and that's why you're here, I can't emphasize enough to you that you are in risk of literally bleeding to death if you let this creep treat you. I have warned you ! Stay as far away from this jerk , he will only cause you more grief . Best of luck to you all .

For 4 yrs McCarthy checked blood pressure and read blood work results for you. Reason for 2 stars. When you have some serious problems and the the doctor won't listen to you and belittles you and places more value on their opinion of what they think you health should be and not what it is. Since visiting McCarthy, I have made 4 ER visits, lost 17 lbs and have to try and find the medical help that he could or would not recommend. I will not set foot in his office again.

I have been a patient to long. my last visit was went like this. I had a bad fall, damaged my eye,rebroke nose, my leg from the knee down. there was a 15 min. difference in my appointment, He refused to see me and had the office tell me this,i asked if wanted me to go to e.r..I the past i have been told my 15 min visit starts from the time the nurse walks me to the room. and would only handle one problem per visit. I am a senior and have many problems and he meant that. he has no coverage when he is out of the office. if you have a problem he will order test and if that doesn't show the problem, that is the end of your care. I would not go back to him and would hope you find a great new doctor but not him a senior

Bedside manner of a goat

I have been a patient of Dr. Mc Carthy for going on 6 yrs. now. He is a very great doctor, caring, especially in a way of asking not only about myself, but of my family as well. I have/had many health problems and he is very accurate on diagnosis and treatment. It is not only the doctor, but his staff as well, for when I had multiple strokes around x-mas time in 2010, they really helped me and my kids out through the hard time. It is something you just don't expect from a doctor these days, and something I will never, ever forget. Great office!

In my opinion I would say find someone else to treat you. He is not experienced enough for me and has missed many diagnosis during my time with him. He is easily angered and will write you off if you question him. If test results are normal and you still feel sick and know they are not right, he will not go above and beyond to tackle the issue and will not entertain the possibility that the numbers are wrong or off for you. If you need to call in for refills, it can take weeks and not 48 hours and no one will help or take responsibility for this. There is no accountability for mistakes. I needed many medications that were vital but waited and waited for refills. If he is not in, or on one of many vacations, they will not pass along to another doctor in the practice to fill. Never going back there again!

Spends time and LISTENS to you! Doesn't rush you in and out! Very happy we found him!
