Dr. Ryan Mulligan

Saw Dr. Ryan Mulligan after a fall where I sprained both knees, wrenched my ankles & got a concussion (diagnosed by ER). I was in tremendous pain. ER docs said to follow up with ortho - oh, by the way ER docs CARED and were amazed when I turned down high powered pain meds in favor of something light right after the accident. Dr. Mulligan could NOT have cared less. He had no empathy and was incredulous I was having hard time dealing with pain (literally so bad it woke me up throughout the night for weeks) as he stated "your knees have so many bone spurs & arthritis already" - what does THAT have to do with fact that I sprained both my DANG knees. He obviously has big prejudice/chip on shoulder. He made NO non-medicine /alternate recommendations like topical relief. He hustled me out like I was a waste of space. I felt humiliated/dehumanized. I cried all the way home & just suffer through the pain of severely injured knees to this day.

I had a TKR with Dr. Mulligan and couldn’t be happier with the results. He was great at explaining what to expect and answered all of my questions.

My first two visits with him were good, scheduled right ankle replacement. I have a metal allergy from previous surgery many years ago, but he refused to assist me by not emailing/texting or faxing a copy of the material data sheet or releasing a sample of the metal/hardware that he would be using (which is a common practice according to the allergy clinic where I was tested for basic metal allergies). His assistant rarely returns calls and NOT helpful. Save your insurance money and time and don't go here.

Dr. Mulligan was very clear in explaining the challenges of my injury and never seemed rushed when I had questions. His nurse is responsive - very important- and got me in immediately when I had an urgent situation. I was very pleased with the care I received, the efficiency of the processes in the office and the friendly staff. I have referred Dr. Mulligan to several friends knowing they will get excellent care.
