Dr. Ryan Carl Petering, MD

Came as a new patient. Office was nice and clean. Only waited maybe 10 mins. Dr was pleasant. Asked a lot of questions so that was good. Too early to tell for a complete review. Only saw him once. Will see how it goes.

I'm shocked by all the negative reviews about this doctor. Dr Petering has been my doctor since June of this year. He is very kind and polite. He takes his time and listens REALLY well. He makes me feel in control of my own health but he will always give his professional opinion and recommendation. Yes, sometimes the wait to see him can be long but of course I'm not the only patient, and it's not a long wait time every single time. However, once I get to see him, I don't feel rush, I feel heard and understood. He makes me feel comfortable to ask questions and he asks me questions as well so that we are both on the same page with my health. I've also had no issues with his staff. Just recently I was experiencing some chest pain so I called the office to let them know. I was simply expecting a call back from the doctor. In about an hour, I got a call from his staff saying he wants to see me that same day. Let me also mention that this was on a Friday when I called. I was truly surprised… that he made time for me at the last minute but I was very pleased and as always my appointment time was NOT rushed and I didn't feel like I was being squeezed into his schedule(even though I probably was). Lastly, I'm able to communicate DIRECTLY with him via MyChart, not his staff, but the doctor himself and he responds within a timely manner(sometimes same day, next day or a couple days at most)What else can I possibly ask of him?!?! He is A.O.K in my book and a good doctor for me :-)

He has the experience and knowledge plus seems to be very relaxed while working with me and explaining the issues ,very informative visit,

He has been my primary care physician for over 3 years. He always gives me options and isn’t afraid to tell me the truth I may not want to hear. He’s compassionate and caring; professional and competent. I couldn’t ask for a better doctor to oversee my care.

I have been seeing Dr. Petering for several years. He is very interested in my health, asks good questions and takes his time to clearly answer in lay terms. I am very pleased to have him as my personal care physician.

The degree to which he let his negative thoughts and opinions about me fly is really something else. Wasted a bunch of time admonishing me. Definitely not one to let you think your questions are worth listening to or responding to thoughtfully. They’re clearly not. Came in, did a drive-by, and whisked on out the door. He seems like a person who finds humans truly exasperating and idiotic, making me wonder why he chose his profession. It honestly seemed like he came ready to spar, rather than provide care or reassurance. Definitely not an experience I’ve had with a doctor before. And this is before we talk about the quality of his medical care. Run, don’t walk away from this guy.

The other negative comments here are completely accurate. Not reccomended.

Although I'm usually more comfortable with older doctors, I find myself surprised by how much I trust Dr. Petering. A gentle doctor, with the knowledge to find what works best for you and your issues. He's a busy Dr. so expect a wait sometimes. But all and all staff and Doc all get stars!
