Dr. Ryan R Reinking, MD

We were referred to Reinking by our primary physician as a second choice. Our son has an extra accessary navicular bone on both feet. Primary works for same hospital as Reinking. That should of been first red flag as primary suggested we see different doctor at Essentia but was not in network so we took appointment with Reinking. After taking a 1/2 day off work, pulling son out of school, and driving over 150 miles round trip for this appointment we got 3 minutes and were told to buy son a larger skate. This was a referral appointment. Since he did not do an examination of my son during the visit he must of reviewed and obviously formed his opinion prior to our appointment. That's fine, but why keep the appointment then. Talk about wasting both our time and clinic resources. Very disappointed and not satisfied.

I had surgery by Dr. Reinking on my right foot 22 months ago for plantar fasciitis and heel spur. After surgery I found out he had fused my big toe without my prior knowledge or consent (because of arthritis, he said). Since surgery I have suffered foot and heel pain worse than it was before surgery. He admitted the heel spur surgery did not give the result he had hoped for. I am in therapy for lymphedema now because swelling has never resolved since surgery, likely because my lymph nodes in my ankle were damaged during surgery. This could be a life-long issue for me. At a follow-up visit with Dr. Reinking I asked if therapy would be needed. He said no. I off my feet for 10 weeks after surgery. How could therapy NOT be required? Very dissatisfied with this surgeon.
