Dr. Ryan James Stolworthy, MD

Alway going out of his way to help and assist. Despite a very busy schedule he is always there to help and make others feel important. His knowledge is second to none. His evaluation of sports injuries are always right on. He is a super trauma doctor.

Dr Stolworthy is one of the few doctors I trust. He doesn’t make you feel like you are wasting his time and he sincerely gets to the bottom of your illness. I’ve seen him during many occasions, by ambulance and walking in. By far the best!!

I went into the emergency room with symptoms that very closely matched meningitis, and I was told by several people to go see the doctor just in case. Dr. Stolworthy came in briefly and listened as I listed a few of my symptoms and dismissed all of them but my sore throat, which I was least worried about. They tested me for a sore throat, told me it would be 30 minutes until the test was done, then left and made me wait an hour before anyone came back in. A nurse I had never seen before finally came in and said I was being discharged, with no explanation and without telling me the results of the strep test. My fiance insisted that they bring the doctor back in. When Dr. Stolworthy came in he looked annoyed that we would dare bring him back in to ask him trivial questions. He dismissed some more symptoms I was worried about and gave me a diagnosis. He told me it definitely wasn't meningitis, but he never explained why he said it wasn't. He also didn't tell me anything about the… diagnosis he gave me, like what symptoms my sickness was causing, how long it would last, and what led him to the diagnosis. He spoke to me very condescendingly the whole time and acted like I was an idiot for even coming in the first place. If you want a doctor who cares about you and takes you seriously, don't go to Dr. Stolworthy.

Arrogant. Doesn't trust EMT and nurse evaluations of patient.
