Dr. Ryan James Varga, DO

Horrible bedside manner. After a trip to ER and then surgery it took 3 weeks for my primary care doctor Varga to see me resulting in me not be able to get the home care I desperately needed. When I asked him why it took so long, he said get better insurance ( I have a Medicare advantage plan). This man is just plain rude and negligent of his patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. Varga's since he started here in Show Low, AZ. He is a wonderful doctor, he always takes his time and really listens to me, he discusses the options for treatments, and allows me to decide the best route for me. He goes over everything about your health, and makes sure you understand everything about your health issues no matter what. I always leave his feeling satisfied that I have been given all the information on need from him. No other doctor has ever taken the time to really hear what I have to say about whatever concern I may have. I am 65 and he is the best doctor I have ever had. Tammy Moore

Dr. Varga saw one of my foster children for a physical. The first comment out of his mouth when he walked into the room was, "So, what did your Grandma do to you?" His lack of empathy continued as he lectured this young man about drugs(something he'd never even thought about trying) and launched into a lengthy rambling lecture giving general life advice that was not only unwarranted but completely opposed the plan that my child and his team of counselors had set out for him. He never even completed the physical or showed any interest in this kid's physical well-being. My kid left the office, hurt, confused, and absolutely violated. This man should never be left alone with a minor child of any age.

I am new to Show Low and went to see Ryan Varga MD to establish as a new patient. He was thorough, sincere, understanding, knowledgeable and he really showed that he cared. I have never heard a negative comment from anyone about his care. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is new to the mountain!!

Dr. Varga is an excellent caring doctor with a great bedside manner. I waited less than 5 minutes and was ushered back to room. He entered within a minute and took a full history and reviewed my chart. He listened and helped me immediately. I am so impressed by him and he will be be my doctor from now on. His staff is friendly and competent. They call when they say they will and doctor gets right back to you.

I waited two hours to see this physician. He was rude, dismissive and hostile
