Dr. Ryan Alec Withrow, DO

My true rating -5 stars or lower, for Dr Ryan Withrow at Clark clinic on Ft Bragg, NC! I have seen this Dr far too many times, he has told me that he would put in my requested referrals on almost every occasion they weren't put it and when I asked he would say he had but would put it in again (even then on 2nd and 3rd referral requests it was the luck of the draw} him making my visits to him more frequent, my symptoms worse & specialty diagnoses worse because of the extended length of time he puts requested referrals in. When he does decide to actually put the referral in, After I visit the specialty Dr telling Dr Withrow the diagnoses and treatment for my military records he has often disputed the diagnosis of the specialty Dr and he does this in such a way that leaves you wondering did he just strongly imply the specialty Dr is an idiot? I know several people that see him {same unit and all} both to which I speak of are reputable people and I have NO reason not to believe them both.… The third person is an acquaintance and not knowing him well but feeling he has no need to lie I asked him as well. Separately and not mentioning what my experience was nor the other people I asked them each separately their opinion of him. The first friend required surgery after both telling Dr Withrow the symptoms, the medical history related to the immediate needed specialty referral, asking for the specialty referral three separate times ignored specialty referral requests later= Surgery and Hospital Stay. The second friend, while reputable, not known to exaggerate after she told me that he "snooped on her social media" shocked making me wonder if indeed it was true I asked, "How do you know?" Her reply, he told her so and her being so shocked and not believing it was true. She asked her Father who works in a Hacker type job, "Can you find out if he really did?" The answer not only was yes he could but yes Dr Withrow at Clark Clinic had been on her social media. Her father quite easily found out not only the IP address but also his personal home address and phone number. The third person Dr Withrow was treating him for pain management {not Dr Withrow's specialty} and while urine test were appropriate for everything he was taking Dr Withrow pretty much said he was selling it one month without that directness, the following month the polar opposite he was abusing it even with clean urine. This man has been on pain management involving both PT and/also opioid medication for 4+ yrs {with Dr Withrow appx 6 months} and Dr Withrow decides to not give a refill on his opioid medication which unbeknownst to me until my acquaintance explained and I then googled. Apparently, you can have withdraws, worse pain than before, leading many people who aren't taken off properly to street drug abuse like heroin! A about three months ago was my last "visit" I was just sickened by his lackadaisical attitude towards patients needs, his overall negligence in patient care, his I know more than the specialist attitude, that I had personally experienced but learning others have had the same and/or similar experiences on resulting in surgery. The the proverbial "cherry on top" the creepy stalking of patients social media accounts. If Dr Withrow thought his patient was a harm to themselves or others his job is NOT to investigate but to REPORT! After speaking with both friends and acquaintances it just confirmed that I wasn't being picky {he has the bedside manner of a door knob} nor were my expectations high, he was and continues to be negielent in numerous ways and I'm sure eventually and sadly it will catch up to him. Normally I don't post/comment on this kind of stuff "publicly" However, while looking up another provider and seeing his his name with 5 stars... I thought either he did that or a family member. Anyway, if you choose to see Dr Withrow do so at your own personal risk. My true rating -5 stars or lower.
