Both my immediate as well as distant family are doctors and nurses. I served as a volunteer EMT for many years on a rescue squad. I was diagnosed (per prior scans) with kidney stones and was told to go to the ER. Insurance requires that I go to JW or Chippenham. I knew protocol was Toradol IV preferably along with fluids. He was rude, cold and actually taunting. After the Toradol was given - never was checked again for at least 45 mins., vitals never taken again, no fluids IV followed nor any verbal follow up . The Billing clerk was the only person that I saw. I had no covers or blanket and I was shaking from being cold and from residual pain. She went and got me a blanket and mentioned it to the doctor. Dr. Salisbury was situated in front of my room so I could very clearly hear him As he very sarcastically stated…” Nobody ever died from pain. “ At that point I had enough. I got up to leave at which point he commented very sarcastically and in a sing song voice “Oh? Well have a… nice night! “ by the way when I called back the following day for my results, I had a severe kidney infection along with three stones.
