Dr. Saad Adnan Shakir, MD

So called ‘Dr. Shakir’ diagnosed me as bipolar with depression. At one point on 8 different prescriptions making me a walking zombie. After a failed over dose, he stated if I did that again he couldn’t treat me, obviously thought highly of himself if that is all he can say to his patient. Fast forward 10 yrs - diagnoses with ADHD- successful professional, obtained masters and PhD- Dr Shakir is about the $$$$, not his patients true wellbeing.

I thought that my appt was helpful for me. I came in needing a lot of help and I left better than how I came in.

awesome experience. Great doctor who is knowledgeable and willing to help. hard to find psychiatrist that are this passionate about what they do. not to mention the TMS staff christian and Mike are the friendliest most professional young gentlemen i have had the pleasure of working with. really made coming to tms appointments easier. overall great team of professionals.

I went in hopeless and lost. I was convinced that life will never be good again. Mental illness does that to a man.Dr. Shakir comforted me. He assured me that I will get better. He treated me until I was better and continued treatment until I was stable. I moved away from California because of work. Yes, I was working again. And I took a flight to see him for every appointment.He is not a friend. He is my doctor. I was looking for a cure and he did his job wonderfully. I read a comment that claimed Dr. Shakir is arrogant. He is not. Confident is a better word. He is one of the best in his field.

Dr Shakir is the most knowledgable psychiatrist I have met. I had to find a new Dr when I left California and have had a hard time finding anyone who lives up to the quality of care I was accustomed to with Dr Shakir. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He not only stays current on new developments in his field, but also is able to explain them to the patient and incorporate changes in treatment as appropriate.

Dr. Shakir is the best Psychiatrist. He saved me from going completely ballistic. He really knows medications based on many years in the industry, and he is superb at accurately diagnosing all types of mental illness. A previous doctor misdiagnosed me, and I suffered terribly for over 1 year. I was referred to Dr. Shakir, and he put me on new meds after correctly diagnosing what is wrong with me. Within 3 days, I was feeling a lot better. I went from wanting to die to feeling reasonably well. As time went by, we made more changes to my treatment plan, and I have continued to get better.I can't say enough about him and anyone that needs help should see him. Just be aware that he has a lot of patients and you need to make your first appointment in advance.
