Dr. Saba Atiq Chughtai, MD

She is nothing but a pill pusher. She kept my wife on Xanax for years. Now my wife has sever dementia. I wish we had left Chughtai years ago

Mental healthcare has really gone south in the last 20 years or so. Years ago, your doctor was conscientious about your case. If you had to be hospitalized, he/she saw you in said facility. Not now. They are the biggest bankers in the medical field. And Dr Chughtai is a member of this approach. She over prescribes medications and is often contentious verbally. I have seen a lot of doctors in my 30 plus years. There is a heavy-handed, even cruelty with Psychiatrists. Do not be a victim. Write an anonymous letter of complaint to the State Board. If it didn’t mean the end of my treatment, hard to find where I live, I would be willing to go before the State legislature and still may do so.

Carelessly insensitive with her questions/comments; recent appointment made me angry and more depressed; is very forceful about you using only her therapists; it’s quick-in/out as all she does is race to write out Rx scripts, often barely looking up to patient. Her very hurtful, overly invasive questions have me thinking of writing to the State Board. Part-time hours are another drawback. Would not recommend her, obviously.

Stay away from this doctor - she sees nothing but dollar signs! It would be easier to talk to a wall than to her - she looks at you like a deer in headlights. All she knows is adding medicines that don't work and make problems worse. Office staff loose charts, and incompetent. Beware of billing - Medicare fraud!

She is one amazing Doctor. She listens very carefully and almost has warming/healing powers. She totally changed my life for the better!! I recommend every single person getting a chance to see her!

after through drugs at my husbands mental illness he abuses me physically and all she does is throw more drugs ups the intake and tells him to get anger management counseling... HORRIBLE

Listens to what you say. Cares about your health and wants you to call her if there is a problem.
