Dr. Saba Antoun Habis, MD

My husband has had multiple strokes due to a combination of family history and smoking. Dr. Habis was consistently kind and gentle in caring for him. We first met him when he was a hospitalist, and then came to him when he began his geriatric practice. He never rushes his patients and understands the need for time and patience in eliciting information from the elderly. He is exceedingly knowledgeable and works hard to ensure the correct medicines are given, rather than the "fashionable" ones. I have never felt that his prescription choices were dictated by drug reps. I would recommend anyone to come see Dr. Habis.

He came into my room after I had my baby and I had found out that I had preeclampsia and wasn't supposed to have any one in my room except my nurse. My blood pressure was already at stroke level because of the preeclampsia and I simply asked him to please leave for the moment ( I was emotional, had just had a c section and had just signed papers to give my baby to another family ) and he wouldn't take ' give me a minute, please ' as an answer He bullied me until I got out of bed and walked towards him before he would even head to the door. The nurse stood as my witness because there was clearly a paper on the door telling everyone to check with the nurses station before going into my room. He was the final straw among many. I wasn't a difficult patient and every single nurse said how much they enjoyed having me as their patient. The rest of the experience aside from the nurses was an awful experience. Every doctor I had from Dr. Clark, Dr. Thompson, Dr. Habis were all know it all gods… in their mind.

Dr Habis is a very caring Dr. he takes time to know his patient . I have taken two of my clients to him several times and he is wonderful. Does not just medicate them , he finds what is best for each patient. I would highly recommend Dr. Habis for any and all Geriatric patients.
