I would advise caution when considering Dr. Saba Maroof for adult psychiatric care based on my personal experience. I found her approach to be unprofessional and lacking in empathy. Specifically: She appeared dismissive of my symptoms and concerns, often not fully exploring the underlying issues before forming conclusions. Communication was challenging; she frequently interrupted and seemed unwilling to listen, sometimes treating me in a condescending manner. Discussions about medication side effects and costs were met with resistance and unnecessary arguments, which felt discouraging. Timeliness was an issue, as she was often at least 30 minutes late despite scheduling appointments herself. Her questioning included intrusive personal details that seemed unrelated to diagnosis, which made me uncomfortable. She sometimes pushed me towards situations linked to previous trauma, without a clear plan for support or resolution. Overall, I did not feel supported or respected during my… visits. Given that psychiatry requires sensitivity and trust, I believe patients deserve a provider who is attentive, compassionate, and professional. I recommend seeking other practitioners who prioritize patient-centered care.
