If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. My daughter and I arrived 15 minutes early (10:00 a.m.) for her 10:15 a.m. appointment at ARC Georgetown. At check-in, the front desk asked us to wait while they verified our insurance. After nearly 30 minutes, they told us they could not verify it because the insurance carrier’s website was down. For reasons that were never explained, they apparently did not attempt to call the insurance company to verify the information. Since my daughter was scheduled to travel out of state soon and we were already there, I offered to pay out of pocket so the appointment could proceed. The front desk agreed. A minute later, they came back with “bad news”: Dr. Saba refused to see us because we were now more than 15 minutes past the appointment time. To be clear: we arrived early. The only reason we were past the appointment time was because their staff kept us waiting while attempting to verify insurance. In other words, the office created the delay… and then penalized the patient for it. I remained polite and asked for an explanation, but none was provided. Instead, we were turned away after wasting over half an hour because of the clinic’s own administrative process. ARC demonstrated poor patient service, lack of accountability, and rigid policies applied without basic common sense. Needless to say, we will not be returning. Patients should be aware that even if you arrive early, you may still be denied care if the office’s own delays push you past your appointment time.
