Dr. Sabas Fatule Abuabara, MD

I took my husband in and Dr. Sabas was very detailed but before any test had been done he already knew what was wrong with him He ordered very specific test and at the end of it all , it turned out to be what he initially had told us He was on top of all his test and even called him personally to give him his test results We were very impressed Had my husband needed surgery we would want no one else but Dr Sabas to preform the surgery, he has so much experience n knowledge . He comes very highly recommend

First appt: doc asks what's wrong, I explain my problem. Without looking at my chart or even examining me, he says I MUST have a hernia - simply because I smoke and am over weight. Then AFTER examining me for 2 seconds, he says I need a simple hernia repair and that'll fix the issue. I almost CRAWLED out of the office doubled over in pain, screaming and shaking. The surgery had to be rescheduled, which took almost EIGHT MONTHS of phone tag w the office staff. Surgery Day arrives and I'm in pre-op, thinking I'm having a simple laparoscopic (2/3 small inscicions) on my right side. When the doc comes in and I inform him that i was already in a lot of pain that day, he pushes on my abdomen so hard, I saw stars. He also INSISTED that my hernia was on my left side - which I quickly told him was incorrect. I had to convince my OWN DOCTOR that i had little too no pain in the area he was "told" he'd be operating on. After 20 min of arguing that I, the patient, had never seen him (or anyone… else) for left sided pain/hernia, they changed the paperwork - which caused a delay n upset him. Upon waking up from surgery, all I remember was excruciating pain and doc vaguely telling me i would need additional surgery. I was told by a family member that I had a "larger inscicion" than I thought and that's why I was in agonising pain. A 6in inscicion that was closed with so much glue, i had to rip my skin open to clean the inscicion. I called the office in regards to this and never got a call back. I also called about pain control and was told if I decided I needed to take more, that was up to me and that I would NOT be getting any refills or ANY help w pain control. Instead of treating me like a patient, I was treated like a piece of meat. I was certainly not happy about my treatment after having major surgery. I went to this doctor for HELP and so far, all I've gotten is a hard time!

His expertise in his diagnosis and surgical abilities. He is very knowledgeable and explains to me what he's found and procedures that need to be done. I find that he is kind and extremely caring as is his staff. I would highly recommend him to people I know who would be in need of a surgeon. GREAT DOCTOR!!!

Dr. Abuabara saved my life more than twice he Knows what he's doing or I would of been dead..

I was literally at my last resort to find help. My Primary told me about Abubara and he's great! He knew nothing of my history until we spoke. He changed my life in a matter of weeks. He's very caring and so comforting! But, his staff and wait time is horrible. So they set you up with an appointment. Nothing till after 3 which is fine. They let people start to sign in at 230....and they fo by whoever shows up first and so forth. So having an appointment is pointless. There's times were my appt is at 330 ..I dont get scene till almost 6 pm...and not to mention im am straight out of surgery and cant sit that long or at all sometimes. The receptionist's response "well everyone else waits..!!" I love this doctor but, sadly bad staff equals losing quality customers.
