Dr. Sabrina Anne Holmquist, MD

Dr. Holmquist is thoughtful and caring, and knowledgeable about problems in healthcare. She realized that getting a pap smear in her office, based on my insurance, would have had me paying full price, and so referred to another clinic to prevent this from happening, instead of just performing the procedure and then leaving me with the bill. Takes the time to answer questions and understand your concerns. Could not recommend enough!

Dr Holmquist is smart, funny, and genuinely interested in your health and giving you all the information you need to make the best decision for yourself. I was tired of traveling back to the suburbs every time I needed to go to the Dr, but was also concerned with the prospect of getting a new gyno. I’m so happy I found her; I would recommend Dr Holmquist to anyone searching for a Dr they can build a relationship with and trust.

I wish I lived closer to Univ of Chicago so all my doctors could be there. I have yet to have a "bad" doctor from there and we basically lived in the NICU for a month. Dr Holmquist is who my obgyn referred me to for the Implanon birth control. She is a funny lady who seems to tell it as it is. I live in the suburbs so driving to Chicago doesn't always make it the quickest dr appointment but after much research and talking to other obgyn's I decided to continue to return to UoC. I feel comfortable there and would gladly refer any friends or family there.

Dr. Holmquist is very caring and makes you feel as comfortable as possible. I believe she is empathetic and isn't one of those doctors that forces a diagnosis on you before running tests.

I have been seeing her since last year. I like her pragmatic attitude and professionalism. I am always looking for the truth as had as it is from a doctor and she has always been honest. I had a ton of questions for her as I am planning a major surgery and she took her time to answer and she she did not look or act impatient at all. I like her and hope that she will stay with the U of C for a long time.

My overall experience with Dr. Holmquist is poor at best and horrid at worst. As with a lot of physicians in their 20's and 30's, the attitude of "I rule while others drool" is far too prevalent. The diagnosis may have been clear (primarily due to my own knowledge of my body, researching my symptoms and finding a new OB/GYN to confirm), all I can say is she does know how to read a report.Bedside manner - nonexistent. Professionalism - average. But most importantly, I sensed she would much rather be fighting the good fight on getting more rooms so she could see more patients more quickly and rack up her billable hours than actually "get to know" her patients.If it's a concerned, knowledgible professional you seek, look elsewhere.
