Dr. Sabrina Melanie Popp, MD

Dr Popp is very easy to talk to. When starting a new treatment she checks in with you every few days to make sure you are doing well. She encourages you to call her with any questions and will get back to you within a day. She is always caring. She looks at you as an individual and dose not put you in a category. She is knowledgeable and adjusts her methods to her individual clients. She has helped me to maintain a productive life.

Dr. Popp helped me successfully manage my ADD through medication and educating me on my condition. I felt great shame at having this condition and Dr. Popp patiently taught me how to live successfully with my ADD. She’s the kindest and most talented doctor I’ve ever met and I’m devastated that she’s closed her practice.

Dr. Popp was by far the best psychiatrist I have ever seen. It is such a pity she had to close her office. I was a patient of Dr. Popp for 12 years, and she helped me so much. I was severely depressed, but I was initially very reluctant to try medication, and she was respectful of my concerns. I never felt pressured, and she talked to me in detail about all of my options. When I did start medication, she told me all about possible issues and side effects, and always took me seriously if I had a problem. She found a medication that worked great for me, and it changed my life. Her gentle and supportive approach made a huge difference in helping me accept that this treatment was right for me. She also repeatedly went above and beyond when I had trouble with my insurance coverage, or getting my prescription filled. I don't know what I would have done without her.

I have been doctor Popp's patient over two spans of my life and she is a remarkable caregiver. The first time I was struggling with PTSD and she was able to teach me about the symptoms, worked for over a year to find a medication I can successfully take, and was always available to help me find my balance again. More recently - I came back to her practice when I was struggling with depression from the pain I experienced with Fibromyalgia. It was such a joy to come back and be so welcome to her practice again. She quickly had a plan and we worked through options to help with both the pain and my depression. My treatment has been very successful. I appreciate her expertise, warmth, humor, and that she is always available. She responds quickly to texts and calls and is always able to move my situation forward. I also appreciate your flexibility. She can meet me early in the morning or late in the day and has met me on weekends as well. She is very unusual that way. I highly… recommend her and have sent many of my friends her way over the years. I feel blessed to have found her and consider her one of my favorite care givers.

Dr Popp is out sick ALL THE TIME. It’s a constant game of phone tag to reach her. She missed a medication side effect I was having and it wreaked havoc in my life.
