Dr. Sabrina Manyee Yon, MD

I was very disappointed by my recent visit. I was waiting in the waiting room while my daughter who is 14 years old was explaining to the doctor what was wrong. I was expecting the doctor to call me to present her conclusions. The doctor left without talking to me and when I asked the medical assistant why the doctor did not ask for me, the assistant became very upset. I told her that I wanted to hear the doctor's conclusion about my daughter's health issue. She tried to find dr. Yon who refused to talk to me saying that she was with another patient! The doctor and staff's behaviors changed from courteous to cold because I disapproved the fact that the doctor gave medical advice and ordered prescription for my 14 years old daughter without informing me although I was in the office waiting!

I saw Dr. Yon a couple of years after having my first child. She did a general check up and took the time to address each of my concerns. The reason I did not see her again was because as soon as I mentioned that I was still breastfeeding my daughter, she told me that I should try to wean her. She was quite adamant about it, which I found a bit odd as I did not particularly solicit advice on this topic.
