Dr. Sachin S Kukreja

I was told my initial consultation was free now being billed $220. I did everything I was told I was a perfect candidate for esg but then was told due to minor dysphagia I was not a good candidate but could get the balloon which cost just as much. Wasted my time and wasting my money...never even talked to the doctor. I discussed this with 2 other bariatric doctors including my gastro doctor who did my egd and my upper gi and both said it shouldn't be an issue but again this doctor wasted my time and money.

I don't even know where to start. I was a tough case with many possible complications. Dr. Kukreja took my case and through skill and sheer determination, successfully did my gastric bypass. I'm about 3 weeks post surgery, and I feel great and have lost 35 pounds. I've stopped taking my blood pressure meds, and my type 2 diabetes is nearly gone. I'm grateful to Dr. Kukreja for starting me on the road to a new me , and would recommend him to anyone who needs weight loss surgery.

If the pope himself were standing in front of me Asking would you recommend this guy. I would say NOT A CHANCE POPE run for you life. This guy is a terrible man and even worse doctor in my personal opinion. You use him he will leave you empty handed and worse off, patient care is not his priority and never was in my case. I guarantee you will regret your decision just like me worst mistake I ever made every single day I regret it. He was my doctor while working at the VA. When I saw him i weight 215 and now I weigh 250 on soups, salads, and baked chicken every single day. I continuously begged for HELP asking in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 to be sent outside the VA away from him and Stephen Holt the director of the VA did nothing until one day he was gone. Their are alot rumors among veterans but you have to ask yourself Why! Save your money for a more qualified surgeon who puts PEOPLE OVER PROFITS. A disaster in my case would be an understatement.

Went to Dr. Kukreja to discuss weight loss surgery. From my very first meeting I felt very comfortable. He presented all my options to me some covered by insurance others not. I was never pressured to choose one over the other and all my questions were answered on the decision I made. His office staff has helped me tgru the process and never made me feel like a number or that my concerns were not important. I would and have referred him to others.

Dr Sachin treat patients as just a number, and does not truly care weather treatment will work at an individual level, but just came about making money. I spent $6500 and the doctor never care about finding out weather the treatment would work for me or not. He spend 15 cold minutes, and during treatment he would speak to his associates about expanding to other markets , and be the competition to other doctors.

Could not ask for better care! Always felt complete confidence with all aspects and the results were excellent in my opinion.

Dr. Sachin Kukreja is one of the best surgeons in Chicago. My experiences was great! He is an amazing surgeon but an even better human being. I am 26 and was diagnosed with a rare cancer, hospital of choice- Mount Sinai. From the moment I consulted with Dr. Kukreja, I felt a sense of care. He did my surgery, he removed my tumor, and he saved my life!! After my procedure, he addressed all of my concerns, he spent time with me at my bedside. He checked on me and made sure I was completely comfortable. He explained everything in depth, there were no misunderstandings. He attended to my family and we started to feel like he was family. That's how much he cared for my well-being. I can talk on and on about how amazing Dr. Kukreja is, but I would end this review by stating "I could not have picked a better surgeon!!"
