Dr. Sachin B. Thorat, MD

I usually have trouble understanding people with different, thicker accents, but he was on fast, fast forward during the whole visit! He was going SO fast when he was looking over the medical records I brought with me and the full page of problems and symptoms, that he couldn't have possibly given anything any thought at all. I kept trying to explain things over and over again, but he did NOT hear a single word I said! He was VERY obvious in ignoring me and I've NEVER felt that rushed in my entire life! The appointment couldn't have been more of a waste of time! He chalked everything up to medication side effects and psych problems..even though I kept telling him that the problems were there before those medications, but he JUST DIDN'T LISTEN!!! I've been seeing a psychologist for YEARS, so I gave him his name when he asked who prescribes my medications and he insisted that psychologists can't prescribe medications. When I got home, I looked up my psychologist and sure enough, that's… what he IS and he certainly CAN prescribe medications. Seriously?! Don't waste your time! Keep looking for a better specialist!

He was clearly very not concerned with my issues when explaining them to him. He acted as though he had better things to do. I pretty much had to beg for him to run a certain test on me. I had only one appointment with him and he did just that one test. I called his office about something and spoke with him and he explained me my condition had nothing to do with neuro. Little did he know I had been in the hospital for days for a serious “neuro” issue. I will never see him again!

My 17 year old son had a grand mal seizure out of nowhere. Our family doctor referred us to Dr. Thorat. He got us in in like 2 days, which was awesome because we were warned us would be longer because there are not very many neurologists in Bossier. We waited maybe 5 minutes in his waiting room? He was very reassuring and calming, while explaining everything in a way we could understand it. Unfortunately, my son had another seizure that night, so it looks like we'll be seeing more of Dr. Thorat! But, if my son has to have epilepsy, I'm glad we got matched up with Dr. Thorat. We love him already!

He takes the time to listen , and really cares about my concerns and has done his very best to achieve success in my health and happiness.

Dr. Thorat and his entire staff have proven to be knowledgeable, caring, and extremely accommodating and cordial. They give individual attention and exhibit a true desire for healing. Highly recommended.

Dr. Thorat was incredible. He took the time to sit down with me and go through a complete medical history. He didn't rush me or try to belittle any of my symptoms. He was caring and compassionate. Highly recommend!
