Dr. Karim is thorough and does take her time with her patients, very nice manners. I don't like the fact that I get there right at my appt. time and don't actually see the dr. until 45 min. later. It's frustrating, especially when she has a small window for appts. Only Mon., Wed., & Fridays & all are half days.

After obtaining a recommendation to this doctor from my college and treating with her about 6 times over three years, I have to say her mediocre standard of care has declined sharply. She was formerly located at Columba Drive, and while there was able to actually reach someone in her office, as well as have appointments over fairly painlessly. However, her medical advice left something to be desired, including offering to prescribe me a medication that she prefaced as "won't affect this issue." Why would a doctor recommend a medication that won't impact the problem being treated?This ludicrous care declined after moving to her new office on Williams Road. I have repeatedly attempted to call to schedule appointments, and leaving messages does not yield any response. Only persistent calling over the course of weeks resulted in actually having an appointment scheduled, only to have no one in the office show up on that day. Myself, and two other patients, waited while NO ONE on the… doctor's staff arrived. No nurse, receptionist or even the doctor herself. One of the other patients had the number to the doctors other office and called only to find that the doctor was out of town until the next day. Following that, no attempts were made by the doctors office to reschedule, NOR did anyone apologize for any inconvenience. Today, I waited almost 2 hours for an appointment for follow up on an ankle x-ray and an ear infection, only to have the doctor NEVER look in my ears AT ALL. Waiting in the packed waiting room trading horror stories about the repeated times they had been left waiting hours while the doctor was reportedly shopping or out of town is not a standard of care that I find acceptable.
