Dr. Sahar Ghassemi, MD

I saw Dr. Ghaassemi for some ongoing issues that I had been dealing with for quite a while. She took the time to really listen to what I was saying and was able to prescribe treatment that really made me feel so much better! I found her to be kind considerate caring and very knowledgeable, I would highly recommend her.

As a physician I don't doubt her skill but she was terrible at communicating and caring. Her beside manner is horrible, shows no caring or respect for the patient. My mom was told, once in a hospital gown, with IV line and aftr fasting 12 hours, that instead of a sedative she will be under general anesthesia, though I understood the reasons, an 84 years old paient need a pre-procedure appointment to have the process explained. Also, while there the doctor said that the two reasons to do such test is to find whether a bacteria has caused inflammation in the stomach or the patient has limphoma....Lady, a bit more tact would be appreciated. Would never recommended her and would actually discourage people to go to this arrogant practitioner.

Dr. Ghassemi is an excellent doctor and I highly recommend her. She has an excellent bedside manner and is very empathetic. She really took the time to listen to me and my symptoms. It was refreshing to talk to a doctor who did not tell me it was all in my head. She really took my symptoms seriously and took every effort to rule out all the possiblities. In visiting her, my problems have been solved and my quality of life has vastly improved as a result!

Dr. Ghassemi really tooked the time to listen and find out what was most concerning to me. I really appreciated the extra time she spent with me and that is espicially hard to find these days

She may need to take some of her own advice and get started on some anti-depressants----or maybe she's already self-medicating and that's the real problem.

Dr. Ghassemi, clearly is very bright with over the top credentials, but lacks important social skills & her bed side manner is atrocious. Her patient interactions are condescending at best, with a mix of disdain/disbelief that most people reserve for situations where building trust is not a crucial component for success. It was clear she was annoyed by my visit, as she did not show a common decency/caring that would be associated minimally by a health care professional. She recited data that was not mine & had my birth date as 10 years older. Upon her entrance into the room & after spending less than 2 minutes with me she accused me of using the web too much & self-diagnosing, she then proceeded to spend most of the appt. staring & reciting data from her computer. She suggested a therapist because as she said: it's clear you have anxiety--gosh, who wouldn't after such a degrading experience? I thanked her for her time but it was clear she had no respect for mine. In a word: MEAN!
