Dr. Sahar Hachem, MD

The nurse for the Dr Hachem has no service skills and is snippy for no reason. Why would you get a call for your labs and all she did was tell me what the Dr suggested for the change, but not what my numbers for the lab results where. You would think she had to name off 17 of them. It's only 3 as I am at work and she asks do I have the Portal and I'm like yes but you have my info right there. I shouldn't have to go look myself. Dr. Hachem herself acts like your a Dr yourself as she doesn't explain why something is the way it is. Like what possible reasons could something for the results not being in range. My TSH drastically changed and I wasn't given any answers UNTIL I asked. I should be told what to expect and the possible reasons something is the way it is. Well I guess I better work on my degree to be a Dr or buy a crystal ball to know what things will be affected by changes and what things cause results to change drastically. I have to look for another Dr. I can't do this… anymore.

Dr. Hachem seems like a great doctor when you go in for your initial appointment. However, the office staff at her office are very unfriendly and choose to ignore your phone calls. Also, they promised 3-5 days for my lab results to be back and it has now been over 2 weeks and I still have not heard anything even after calling the office multiple times. My primary care physician is now having to refer me to the Mayo Clinic to get my answers resolved. Do not waste your time at Wichita Diabetes and Endocrinology, it is worth waiting longer to get in at a different office.

I was sent here by my primary physician because my blood levels were very low. I waited forever to be seen and I finally met here she didn't seem very friendly or really concerned with whatever was going on with me. She ordered another blood test. The results of it were the same as my previous ones and then had me set up an appointment to get a scan. The first place they sent me to wasn't even in network for my insurance and then it had to be rescheduled again because the scanner at the other place broke down. So I finally get my scan and the results are sent back. I didn't hear anything back for at least a month SO I decided to call and find out what was going on. Turns out she switched offices and I was never told by anyone. They give me the number for the new place and they don't have any information about me whatsoever,.not a name nothing. So then I have to call the original place to get my scans sent to the new place. I eventually hear back. They tell me my scans are normal and… that was the end of the call. No attempt to figure out why I needed it in the first place because I doubt they have my results from my blood test. No follow up appointment. No help at all. It was a terrible experience and do not recommend her at all.

Compared to other endocrinologists I have gone to, I find Dr. Hachem to be a good listener and an intelligent doctor who knows her craft. I'm glad I found her.

Terrible professionalism. Waited over an hour despite being the first scheduled patient of the day.

I was a patient of Dr. Meek until he retired and then was reassigned to Dr. Hachem. She is nice enough but I'm looking for another doc. I have hashimotos disease and a severe reaction on my skin. She and her nurse wouldn't listen to he concerns I was having, told me there was no way I could be having a reaction to Synthroid, didn't even know how many micrograms they had me on. Didn't want to listen to my concerns about ordering more tests, T3 conversion, autoimmune patients commonly having gluten issues, Synthroid using gluten as a filler, etc. Not at all happy. Now the hard task of trying to find another endocrinologist.

I have been with Dr. Hachem for 4 years now, I really liked her and still do! But I've have had some red flag's in mind about her, for about a year to a year and half now. The BIG RED FLAG came a few months back when my heart doctor saw some blood work and that it was flaged low, They wanderd why she did not see that! After all this time I kept telling her how tried I was. She used to be on top of things I thought when I 1st went to her, but now she dose't seam to listen or understand what Im trying to tell her about. So yes I will be going to different (ENDO) Because I feel like I can not trust Dr Hachem anymore witth my life-threating coditandion. So the patient will have make up their own minds if they want to go to her or cont. to use her as their (ENDO) or not. Like I said I really liked Doctor Hachem and still do, but can't put my trust in her as my (ENDO) doctor ANYMORE!. Watch out for the (RED FLAGS).

She did not even know how to properly do a cortisol stimulation test- i would not recommend this doctor.

Dr. Hachem has been my ENDO sense Mar. She is very careing kind,just sweet and nice as she can! Very nice bed side manner, takes her time with you. Dr. Hachem call's you back when you have a Q?'s before your appointment instead of just a nure. She also has a NP. that will call back if Dr. Hachen can not at that time. It may take a day or two for them to call you back but, please rember that they are very buzy with other people. That would be my only small problem. Yes, I would highly recommend Dr. Hachem to a person in need of a ENDO or internist
