Dr. Sahmon Daniel Chinichian, DO

Sahmon Chinichian, D.O., specializes in cataract and refractive surgery, including laser-assisted cataract surgery, LASIK, and premium intraocular lenses. Dr. Chinichian also has extensive training and performs numerous minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS) including iStent, Hydrus, and OMNI. He is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.

Dr. Chinichian was raised in southern California and received his undergraduate education at the University of California Irvine. He completed medical school at Western University in Pomona, California. His arduous goal to become an ophthalmologist was achieved with the successful completion of his residency at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in San Bernardo, where he was rigorously trained to address many complex and rare eye diseases.

During his residency, Dr. …Chinichian volunteered with an organization that took monthly trips to the town of La Misión in Baja California. In that time, he contributed to the donation of glasses, medicine, and performed minor procedures as a service for those in need. He was also nominated with the honor of being named Chief Resident amongst his peers.

In April of 2020, Dr. Chinichian joined Kleiman Evangelista Eye Centers of Texas. Prior to his move to Dallas, he practiced for nearly four years in Las Vegas, Nevada where he was given the award as Top 100 doctors by MyVegasMagazine in 2018.

Dr. Chinichian combines his personal interest in technology with ophthalmology by constantly seeking advanced technologies and equipment to provide premier quality eye care for his patients. He prides himself in his bedside manner and strives to make patients’ experience with their eye care as easy as possible while achieving the best possible outcomes. Patients have described Dr. Chinichian as friendly, compassionate, and easy to talk to. Dr. Chinichian is fluent in Spanish and Farsi (Persian). In his free time, Dr Chinichian enjoys snowboarding, traveling, technology and cars.
