Dr. Sai C Oruganti, MD

My father was admitted to St. Joseph's North under the care of Dr. Oruganti. My father is an advanced alzheimer's/dementia patient who is unable to communicate. My is the legal guardian who communicates on his behalf. During his hospital stay, my sister who lives remotely from where my father was staying was never contacted by Dr. Oruganti regarding my father's status or his care plan. Days later, I complained to the nursing staff twice and he finally contacted me that evening. There was children (presumably his) screaming in the background so I did not have his full and undivided attention. I informed him how I was disappointed that we were never contacted regarding medical decision making for my father. As a healthcare provider, I can attest that this was unprofessional and does not follow the standard of care and will be filing a complaint with the medical board.
