Dr. Sai Prasanna Mannem, MD

I usually do not leave reviews but this one is special. I visited Dr Mannem end of December for my annual physical. My visit let a lot to be desired as she was not interested in listening in on my problems. Rather she was keen on selling more vaccinations for me to take. I left a review for her on zocdoc. Come 02/28, that is two months after the visit, I get a phone call from the doctor telling me she needs to follow up and review the test results as that is mandated by the some kind of law. I hear her out but do not get anything useful beyond what is available on internet. This is when, I already visited a different provider in January and was not looking for this consult. A few weeks later, I get a bill on my phone that I have been charged $200 for the phone consult I did not ask for. Amazing how I am billed for something I did not ask for and something which is not payable by insurance. Avoid this provider and if possible this chain.

This was first time ever I went in for annual check in US. Saiprasanna was my primary doctor in Overlake. She was ok. But when it came to papsmear(i had never done it before,it was first time)it was quite painful,so could not do papsmear that time, But later on I changed my primary doctor and clinic(thank god),found out that there was a hymen block out there,had to undergo a surgery later. Don't know why saiprasanna did not find out that when i was in terrible pain that day? So was never satisfied with saiprasanna/overlake. I always had issues with scheduling/calling them. I am happy with my decision of changing the doctor/clinic.

I have been seeing Dr Mannem at Overlake Clinic in Bellevue Washington. I have been seeing her for years. Always very impressed with the quality of care I received from her. She really cared and she listened. I was shocked when I received a letter telling me she was no longer with Overlake. She was the reason I was going there. I recommend her highly. I am currently trying to find where she is practicing. She is one in a million.

She seems to be the busiest doctor in the planet because she never has time to listen to the patient. Whenever she does manage to listen she overmedicates. Lokking at the comments I can see other have had a similar experience.

She never patiently listens to your issues and has a tendency to overmedicate. I never come out thinking I have been helped.

I went to Dr Mannem 2 years ago when i had a sports injury. Instead of recommending me to an orthopedist, she recommended me to PT. Now 2 years later I injured my meniscus in the knee and realized that 2 years ago I actually had torn my ACL (which is a very common sports injury but Dr Mannem didn't have enough patience to think about that) which caused my meniscus to tear. Menisucus repair is a very time sensitive and critical surgery and if she had diagnosed my ACL tear when i first went to her, I could have avoided a meniscus tear. Now I am bedridden for 2 months and cannot run for several months. She is always in a hurry. I can't believe I trusted her.

I've been going to Dr. Mannem for almost five years. I always have some kind of weird problem when I go to see her and she always takes the time to understand what's going on. If you're looking for a new doctor, I think she's great, though I don't want her to get busier than she already is!
