Dr. Said Francois Hakim, MD

Unprofessional, uninterested and apathetic front staff. This office makes very little effort to go beyond the bare minimum level of treatment. Dr. Hakim was clearly very knowledgeable and capable but chooses to run his practice in a very cookie cutter fashion. For example, he provided generic information in response to my questions which I could have googled myself. I requested a flu shot and he told me to go downstairs to the pharmacy (which was out of flu shots). I asked for a common vaccination and his office was unable to administer it, and instead referred me to the pharmacy downstairs. When I asked the pharmacy they said it was not covered through my insurance for a pharmacy to administer it, so the doctor's office should administer it. I asked if Dr. Hakim's office could simply purchase the vaccine from the pharmacy and administer it and bill my insurance. This was evidently too much for them to handle so they declined. I had also told Dr. Hakim that I am prone to a… particular and common infection annually and to see if I could have a prescription on hand just in case. He declined and told me I would need to make an appointment to come see him and run tests, even though this medication is so common it's available through telemedicine doctors. I also asked if he would be able to run basic allergy tests on me. He declined and told me to go see a different specialist in the building. Lastly, I asked if he had advice on certain very common women's issues I am experiencing, and he provided zero input and just told me to go see an OB-GYN. The only thing I found him enthusiastic about was ordering a full spectrum of blood and other tests, even the I am in near perfect health. The point of a PCP general medicine doctor is to be able to arm a patient at least some material information to allow them to make quality decisions about their healthcare, not just refer them to other doctors on even basic issues. In this case, I paid a $30 co-pay and all I got was a prescription for a vaccination I can't use. I found this to be a waste of two hours of my time and I've now selected a new PCP after first calling and confirming their ability to provide the services I need. (Note: They can and gladly will.)

He is thorough, great 'bedside manner'/caring, mindful and extremely knowledgeable and realistic. Highly recommend him.

Dr. Hakim is kind, courteous and attentive. He is also very intelligent and a top-notch doctor. I recommend him highly. He is easy to get a hold of via phone - he is a great communicator and an excellent listener. My siblings and my parents are also patients of Dr. Hakim.

Dr. Hakim showed that he cared about my health issues and how to treat them and it was every time I went to him that I received the same excellent treatment. After some of my visits I felt bad that I took so much of his time but he never made me feel that I should have left fast.

Dr. Hakim is a decent doctor and very kind, I didn't see any major issues with him. However, the office workers are not very good at all. If things go well, you won't have a problem. If there are issues with billing, scheduling, insurance, etc, then good luck. Poor service and rude office workers. Seems to be a high turnover with the staff. Overall, not worth the hassle.

Dr Said Hakim is very professional and he is by far one of those Dr's that is not practicing because of business. He really cares for his patient and his knowledge is astonishing. The office is clean and you get any results and reports that you need within 24 hours which is rare these days. The staff are also very kind and responsible. Also they are fast in delivering the results. I would definitely recommend him.
