Dr. Saied Tariq Murphy, MD

Do not allow Saied Murphy anywhere near your loved ones. He does not care for human life and should be ashamed he calls himself a doctor. He tried to put my father in danger by rechallenging my father to dialysis even though the day before the first attempt was abruptly stopped because of life threatening effects of dialysis. When I tried to bring this to his attention, he said he was just filling in and following orders (lacks basic ability to evaluate the patient and make safe clinical decisions). I asked him to give my father time to recover before the next dialysis attempt...he told me to reverse what I was saying and said that my father was old and dared to spin what I said and said 'see..you said your father is too old to recover.' I had to correct him and responded 'I didn't say my father wouldn't recover, I said he needs more time to recover because he has been through alot.' Instead to taking the time to discuss the risks versus benefits of another immediate dialysis, Saied… Murphy responded like a child, started raising his voice in the middle of the ICU, and said 'do you want to be the doctor?'... the truth is anyone would be better than him. I believe he was setting my father up to fail to push him to palliative care with no regard for my father's life.

Run!! Very unprofessional. He’s evil and mean. Almost killed my husband over prescribed medication

I was the first patient after the office "lunch break." I was the only patient there and was kept waiting 40 minutes. In Dr Murphy's notes furnished to me following my visit, he stated he spent 90 minutes with me. An untruth. He spent 45. I would characterize his interview of me as an interrogation. I felt continually defensive, and left feeling depressed. He suggested followup diagnostic procedures. First, an ultrasound, but then changed his mind and said an MRI. After describing the dangerous risks associated with the MRI dye, he continued to recommend, even after saying, "You aren't claustrophobic are you?" and I replied "Yes." I told him I would think about it. In Dr Murphy's notes describing the visit, he stated that the ultrasound (a procedure he redacted) was to be scheduled before coming back in three months, scheduling which he did not confirm with me, did not to my knowledge actually schedule, and to which I never agreed. He made no mention of the significant risks involved… in the suggested MRI in his notes furnished me. During the visit he continually addressed conditions for which I was already being treated and which are being successfully managed. He did not ask me once about exercise. He did not provide me a recommended diet, but instead, listed what foods and beverages to avoid. In his notes provided me, that extensive verbalized list became overwhelmingly long and even more inclusive, to the point of seemingly only allowing water. Such a negative approach "avoid, avoid, avoid" is disheartening and when I commented that I guessed I should not consume anything, he did not reply. "Moderation" was never mentioned as a viable approach to diet. I am still left bereft of how to discern what I CAN eat. Dr Murphy does not give his full attention or respect. He had his phone with him, addressed it when it rang, and at one point left the room to take a personal call. Unprofessional. A different doctor will not change my diagnosis, but may be able to provide a more positive approach to its management.

He's an Asshole.

First of all I waited over 1 and a 1/2 hours to see him and I was the only patient in the waiting room. His bed side manner was awful. He was very negative and I felt bullied. I could not get out of his office fast enough.

THE WORST AND MOST INEPT DOCTOR OUT THERE

Visited this Dr.twice.First visit I waited 1 hour to see NP and another hour to see Dr.Second visit I waited an hour an a half.I agree with others on here,bedside manner friendly as long as you agree and don't question him,then pompous.Office communication is awful,forget it if you want to call for any advice,concerns or questions,they don't take time to address your concerns or find the answer.I also took note,no soap in any of the exam rooms and never observed any staff washing their hands.I felt my time was unvalued,my voice unheard and nothing explained in a way I could understand.

In my opinion, this may be the WORST doctor I have ever encountered.....Two years ago, he adamantly told me that my kidney would never work.....Guess what....he was WRONG....what a doom and gloom doctor.

Extremely Inept.....Do not go to this doctor as his knowledge in the area of ESRF is not adequate to help you. His office staff is very unprofessional and rude. His bedside manner is horrific as he is a "doom and gloom" kind of doctor. There are MUCH more professional nephrologists out there....look for them
