Exelon psychiatrist kind and understanding

Dr. Ismail had absolutely no compassion on my husband who just met with her. She was scheduled to do a televisit with him at 5pm. You could tell she was bothered that the office scheduled her this late and she was trying to avoid the appointment. After calling the office multiple times because she was late to the appointment, she finally showed up and was short and disrespectful. She shamed my husband for the way he has been feeling. Proceeded to call his preexisting condition "not real". I am so disgusted with this doctor who lacked professionalism and bedside manner. When a person is seeking professional help for depression, this is the LAST person they should go see. She was incredibly disrespectful and left him feeling ashamed, hopeless and out of options. I am not one to go out of my way to bash someone publicly but this is wrong and there are people out there who need real help that she cannot provide. She has only made things worse for us. Regardless of if you've had a bad day,… or are tired, you owe it to your patients to show up and do your job. Dr. Ismail, you should be ashamed of yourself.
