Dr. Saira Khan

Dr. Khan does not take the time to understand patient’s situations or concerns, and takes a condescending, imperious, bureaucratic tone. My wife delivered a healthy baby and met all hospital criteria for early release. We wanted to give up our labor room since there were other families delivering in small windowless triage rooms, and to get home to our older daughter who was experiencing separation anxiety. We worked with the hospital staff to understand and schedule the appropriate follow up tests with our local pediatrician to leave early. Dr Khan intervened and made us stay in the hospital for another night even though we were following all appropriate protocol for early release, meaning someone had to deliver in a triage room, we did not sleep and were woken up every hour all night, our daughter is getting off on a worse and more anxious foot with her sister, and all for absolutely zero medical benefit of any kind. She delivered this news in the most arrogant and condescending way… imaginable, making no effort to understand what we were talking about or the fact that multiple staff members had spent hours making these arrangements, talking to us like we were children and repeating each point 2-3 times even though she was incorrect on the facts as she would have known if she spent five minutes looking into before injecting a serious sour note into the birth of our daughter for no reason at all.
