Dr. Sait Ashina, MD

He is a headache specialist, yet did not even know about recent findings of increased stroke risk for migraines with aura. Even my nurse at the primary care office knew that! Refuses to discuss side effects claiming they are not relevant. Evades making diagnosis. Repeats what other doctors said without doing a physical exam himself. Drowns you with questions so as not to answer your question. His job is not that hard, just learn the side effects of half a dozen pills, but he will not.

I was waking up with pain every day that only went away with migraine medicine but you can only use that medicine for a limited number of days a month. I had gone over the limit and went to see Dr. Ashina. He gave me an injection where the pain was and it has not come back (it's been almost a month). He was kind, patient, easy to relate to, and the whole experience at the BIDMC was positive.

Dr. Ashina is a wonderful doctor. I have found that he is patient and caring.. He explains the procedure and he answers to all of my questions. He is very efficient when he gives me the botox shots for my headaches. I would recommend him to anyone who has a need for a great nueroligist.
