Dr. Sajal Kumar Bose, MD

dr bose is an overall mediocre dr who just wants to write scripts and not help you and he put me on geodon which caused iron deficiency and i replaced him as my dr and have no regrets at all

I know that Dr. Bose can be a very caring, kind, judgement free kind of psychiatrist. I have experienced this first-hand. However, in 2015, when I was trying to turn my life around, he ripped me a new one. I had been seeing him for 3 years during my early 20s, and I have to admit I was a wreck back then... But I started going to NA, stuck through with outpatient treatment, and spent many weeks in withdrawal all while working as a server at a small local restaurant. I saved up my money, but occasionally I would get a tattoo to cover up my self harming scars. When I saw Dr. Bose after a year of trying to get better, he ripped me a new one, saying he had progressed in his field and accomplished a lot, while I had done nothing with myself, and covered myself with impulsive, meaningless tattoos. I can't tell you how broken I felt after coming to him for this session. I understand his approach is a "tough love" kind, but I wish he would have at least let me explain myself and my current… situation. Now, it is 2019, and everyone around me says they can't believe how far I have come. And it was without the help of Dr. Bose. I am 3 years sober, and I still go to meetings. I have held down a job for the past 3 years as well, and I am working my way up in the culinary field. I'm also engaged and very happy. I wish Bose had just believed in me a little more.

Doctor Bose is the best psychiatrist I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He's treated my Bipolar Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, & ADHD for six (6) years now with success. He listens, asks appropriate questions, & truly cares about you. Dr. Bose wants to see success in his patients & works with you to get there. He also takes very seriously your concerns & works to build a trusting physician-patient relationship. And, he'll call you out on anything you try to slip by him, so honesty is key. I strongly recommend him as a mental health care provider.

Dr. Bose is a great doctor. He spends enough time to answer any questions and concerns. He returns calls withinthe day or has his staff call for him. I also like the fact that he works side by side with my therapist to make my meds and therapy work the best for me and my problems. For the first time in years I feel like I am not waisting my time and my money just to be fed abunch of mr=eds that do nothing for me. Thanks Dr. Bose you ROCK!!

Dr. Bose is wonderful but his staff is not and his office is poorly run. You will wait an hour or more because scheduling is mismanaged, and appointments are MONTHS in advance. If you need a prescription refill because his calendar is overbooked it won't happen. Very poor office management.
