Dr. Sajid M. Zafar, MD

Do not get call backs when you call the office. Never have had a nurse or receptionist answer the phone always have to leave a message. Had to actually go to his office to set up an appointment because they never called backed This doctor is rude. Has zero bedside manner. He called me a liar without using the word by telling me he didn’t believe me regarding the discussion we were having. He treated my husband some years ago and was very dismissive with him regarding treatment he was giving to my husband. We tried to explain why my husband was questioning the doctors decision and the doctor told us to either do as he says or don’t and continue with his discomfort. He turned and left. My husband went to a different doctor after this experience and was given a diagnosis and a treatment. By the way the treatment my husband was given by this new doctor worked on the first day and every day there after.

My husband was admitted to st Luke’s hospital over a weekend. Adequate tests were not done until the following Monday. Multiple antibiotics were given 2 days over Saturday and Sunday. When the test was finally done, the results showed that the previous treatment was not warranted. We were instructed to make a followup appointment which the office secretary Mary Jo felt wasn’t necessary in the time frame the orders instructed. After more calls, an appointment was made and I was assured we would see dr zafar. At the appointment, we saw the NP who was pleasant, but no visit with dr was ever intended. The office personnel were clueless about subsequent blood work, which I obtained for them. They wanted additional testing which they really couldn’t justify ~ just to keep a watch on things. Multiple doctors got involved in this case and it was obvious that the right hand didn’t know what the left hand was doing. If this had been our first experience with st Luke’s, I’d never go back. … Terrible patient care and followup. What we experienced borders on malpractice. To top it off, my husband got c-diff after taking all the antibiotics.

GET A SECOND OPINION ON TREATEMENT! Dr. Zafar is horrible! My son was diagnosed with Crohn's. He gave us a prescription for Prednisone. Said he would have his nurse Mary Jo call in the other and schedule Iron Infusions. He spent a total of 6 minutes with us gave us a print out for a site to learn what Crohn's is all about. He did not offer an other treatment options. Mary Jo is horrible as well. The prescription was never filled, the Iron Infusion never ordered. When I called 3 days later she informed me it would need to wait until next week she was "taking a well deserved day off". We also left word for the Dr Zafar to call us because my son was also experiencing heart palpitations which is a serious side effect of Prednisone and our call was never returned. Dr. Zafar's lack of and empathy and knowledge are scary! He is a script writer for Prednisone when there are other options available. We are now with a doctor who spent 45 miuntues with us, explained Crohn's and gave… us options of Remicade an other advanced drugs that are keeping more Crohn's patients in a remission. PLEASE GET A 2nd OPINION BEFORE YOU BELIEVE Dr. Zafar!! The difference is night & day!

This man came into my daughters room shortly after being admitted to St. Lukes. My other daughter was also in the room. He walked into the room, and these are questions he asked my daughter..."Where do you live..?" "What are you doing in THIS hospital?" This man is rude, course, unprofessional. There were four ears who heard him say this. He should have been reported and hope that he was.

He and his staff are friendly and professional I have been twice to Dr. Zafer .. Excellent Doctor

He was okay, very quick paced. Seemed like he didn't care too much about what you had to say. Wrongly diagnosed me.

I would give Dr. Zafar a 5 rating - but the receptionists are unfriendly and his staff seems overwhelmed and do not follow up on a timely basis. In the hospital, he was wonderful - giving me all the time I needed and explaining everything to me completely.

It took over 4 weeks to get a letter for my insurance company to help me get life insurance for my family. I Called and left countless messages without a response. My insurance company also tried to contact several times without a response. Truly unbelievable lack of care and respect for his patients.

Great job. Good bedside manner. Calm and takes time to explain things. Never had any issues.

Probably the best doctor I have seen before! Very funny and spent a lot of time with me. He cured me very quickly. Go to him! Great guy!
