Dr. Sakina Yusuf Bajowala, MD

Dr. Bajowala earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago, after which she received her medical training at Rush Medical College. Dr. Bajowala completed her postgraduate training in General Pediatrics at the University of Chicago Comer Children%u2019s Hospital. She returned to Rush University Medical Center and the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County for fellowship in Allergy and Immunology.

In 2008, Dr. Bajowala joined DuKane Allergy Asthma Associates, where she treats allergic and immunologic diseases of both adults and children. Her special interests include severe asthma, food allergies, and allergic diseases of the skin.

Dr. Bajowala has presented at national and state conferences, and has designed research investigating the interplay of allergic and gastrointestinal diseases.

Dr. Bajowala is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.

As an allergy sufferer herself, Dr. Bajowala has …a unique ability to identify with her patients and assist them in developing a comprehensive plan to control their most troublesome symptoms.

Dr. Bajowala is married with two children. She enjoys vocal performance, graphic design, and exposing her children to diverse cultures through world travel.
