Dr. Saleh Ali Alqahtani, MD

On my first visit, there was a huge storm, but I was still on time for my appointment despite being out of town. Dr. Alqathani was much closer, but an hour late. My referring doctor gave his office a number of test results & visit summaries at least 3 months prior, but Dr. Alqathani hadn't even looked at them. I went over my history with him, and while I had the impression that he was listening, the letter he sent my referring physician indicated that he absolutely was not. And, yet, I probably would have dealt with this because it's how most doctors treat me, I was floored upon being told that if I needed a transplant, it wouldn't be recommended because I am overweight. Huh? Drug Addicts get transplants. Prisoners on death row get transplants. But not people who weigh too much? It went downhill from there. My referring doctor tried to get records from Dr. Alqathani, and his office said I had never been seen there. I made two follow up appointments, and at both of them, saw the… nurse practitioner because the doctor wasn't at the office. Nobody bothered to call & tell me not to drive the entire way to the appointment, which involves an overnight stay & time off work for me. They told me to schedule via the online system, and I'm still waiting for that 4th appointment over 2 years later. I'd avoid Dr. Alqathani & his staff ; at one appointment his nurse pushed a liquid protein diet that had a warning on the package that its not safe for those with chronic liver disease.
