Dr. Salim Michel Hayek, MD

This doctor is dismissive and arrogant. He sat in front of me rubbing his leg and butt for 15min. He only glanced at my MRI and dismissed it even though it included multiple bulging discs as well as multiple other things. He then suggested i ride a bike for an hour every day and walked out of the office after ignoring basically everything that he was presented and i had told him. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS GUY.

I was given a phone number to call Dr. Hayek’s office 5-7 days after my procedure to alleviate nerve pain. All I got was voice mail and no one returned my calls trying to report that the procedure had been unsuccessful. I do not recommend Dr. Hayek.

I went to Dr Hayek on referral from my primary care doctor. I couldn’t walk due to pain. He’s caring and easy to communicate with. After the 2nd injection I’m virtually pain free. I referred my daughter-in-law to him. She hurt her back to the point she couldn’t walk. I emailed the doctor on Saturday with virtually immediate response. His office called her at 7:00am Monday to schedule a 9:00am appointment. All I can say from personal experience- if you’re in pain call Dr Hayek. I’m glad I found him.

i had appointment for pain management, I will have to have surgery on my back after other health issues are addressed first. Dr. Hayek did nothing but pushed to have procedures done, which I told him I have already had them done bringing proof with me. He then wanted to do shots which I was told would not work due to pain coming from to many areas, he sent someone I. Before he came in to ask all the questions, I told her I know already IM GOING TO NEED SURGERY I just need to make it threw the next few months while I address other health concerns, I have already been told no theropy by other pain management also the pain pump, patch, and injections won't help me due to the severity of my back. She then stuck needles in my feet asking if I can feel that I told her no I already know I have no feeling in my legs that's why I need the surgery. Next Dr. Heyac came in started talking asking about everything I told him just what I told her, he then said knowing that I have to be carful… to ride a stationary bike, my concern was weight gain before surgery and NO I can't ride a bike I can barely walk, and if I fall they already said a good chance I would break my back, He said lets get to see that surgeon so we can get the show on the road. All he cares about is making money now not about his patiants, if your in pain and already know that your close to surgery stay away from that pain management doctor he doesn't care about your pain our your life.

Fantastic doctor! Can’t say enough. He is very kind and understanding. Results are unbelievable. From not being able to walk due to pain, I am now pain free. Dr Hayek is a miracle man when it comes to pain. I think he is my hero!

I got a call from the doctor, after I made my appointment for another steroid injection. He said to me that I should have some kind of medication pump placed since steroid injection did not help. I told him that he must have his information wrong. I said this is the first time right now we have spoken about how the steroid had worked. I just want to get another one. Patients usually get several in a year to six months. Dr Hayek said to come in for an appointment and we can go over your MRI. I needed to remind him that we went over my MRI. The plan was to attempt to bring down my pain with several treatment of corticosteroid injection. I reminded him that I had been suffering from pain for many years and I was very familiar with the injection process. He jumped to say that is why it is not working because I had been getting them. I told him that is not true. I had two injections in 2012. Then surgery in 2013 and 2014. I just started injections this year in 2018. I suggested that he may… not remember me. He said he has hundreds of patients a day and can't remember everyone. He then said he was in the middle of a conference call and said he had to get off the phone. I reminded him that he just called me. Maybe he is juggling to much at once. I made it clear to him that the steroid injection did help and that is why I was calling for another appointment. The doctor did not seem grasp my medical condition. It was very upsetting to be denied care. Perhaps it is for the best. The procedure for the steroid injection seemed rushed. The doctor set the patients up like chocolates on a conveyor belt in a Lucille Ball episode.

I was under the care of doctor Hayek from 2009 until this past summer. Slowly, he became worse and worse. His office would leave me tortured and he stopped listening to what I wanted and needed, only to suggest things I couldn’t afford. He essentially gave up on me and didn’t even see me through withdrawal of my pain medication. I used to always suggest him but now I do the opposite. I am praying my new doctor is competent and much better. He was like a family member to me until he stopped caring about me and cared more about himself.

Are you kidding me; this is THE most non compassionate, ego maniac of a so called doctor. He is beyond Rude, doesn’t care, doesn’t listen, and doesn’t explain anything except to brag about how great he is. I am warning you all stay away unless you are of the same ethnicity he is. That speaks volumes.

Excellent doc. Excellent rapport. Excellent results. Have pain see Dr Hayak. You will be amazed with your pain free results! Best doc ever!

I've been going to pain management for many years and never have I come across the most insensitive and incompetent doctor as Dr Salim Hayek. Pain management patients put every amount of faith into their doctors. We are desparate for help for a better quality of life. He doesn't know a thing about his patients and doesn't care. He doesn't return calls or discuss any questions one might have. He is verbally abusive to his patients. PLEASE, please, if you want to get better or have a decent quality of life and a strong sound mind, DO NOT see this physician. I need to see a psychologist because of the things he said to me.
