Dr. Salim Halim Jabbour, MD

Five years ago, I was diagnosed with colon cancer. Dr. Jabbour successfully performed my surgery. Before the operation, he explained the entire procedure and answered every question I had. My appointment ran late, but he stayed with me and patiently answered all my concerns until I had no more questions - even though it was already past 6:00 PM. When I asked if I could record our conversation because I was concerned about missing something as an immigrant, he graciously allowed it. I meant to write this review ages ago, but it kept slipping my mind - even though I've been raving to everyone about what an incredible doctor Dr. Jabbour is!

Both my wife and I have had surgery by Dr Jabbour. He is the most caring Dr that I know of and he goes out of his way to help his patients. His follow-ups are great in that he is very concerned with the patient's welfare and happiness. Every patient of his that I have talked to cannot say enough good about him. He is sometimes a little late for appointments because he is doing surgery or attending to a patient. All in all, Dr Jabbour is GREAT Dr.!!

I had an appointment at this office today with Dr. Jabbour. Here is how that went: My appointment was for 10:20. I arrived at 10:15. Since I had surgery on my right shoulder 2 weeks ago, I am wearing a sling that restricts the use of my right arm. I thought this obvious disability would relieve me of the requirement of using the kiosk to check in-I was wrong. After taking my $40 copayment I was told to use my left hand to sign in at the kiosk. I had hoped a doctors office would make some accommodation for disability but apparently that is not your practice. I waited for 40 minutes. During this time, not 1 person informed me of a delay, apologized for the delay, or provided me with any idea when I would be seen. At 11:00 I went to the receptionist and told her I wanted to leave and would like my $40 copayment removed. She informed me that Dr. Jabbour was “a little behind”. I told her I did not think 40 minutes qualified as a little behind. Once again I requested my… copayment be refunded. This same receptionist who had no problem taking my money, was suddenly unable to work the system to give me a refund. She sought help from a manager. During this entire exchange there was another person sitting at the receptionist desk with a screen up so she would not be disturbed. It is unfortunate that employee privacy is more important than customer service in this office. After waiting another 5 minutes, someone came out and called my name to go back to see Dr. Jabbour. I told her I was awaiting a refund....still no one returned to the reception desk. After a few more minutes, the same person who called me to go back came out again to ask me to go back to see the doctor once again. At this point it was clear my request for a refund was being ignored. I went back, was seen immediately, and left. There are significant issues in this office. If this was a one time occurrence I might be able to excuse it but the value of my time has been ignored every single time I have visited this office. I have had enough. I suggest training for all of the staff so they can understand the value of patients time and the need to accommodate disabilities and customer requests. The performance in these areas is sorely lacking. The only reason this was not a 1star rating is because Dr. Jabbour is an excellent physician. If you do not have any issue with long waits then I can recommend this location.

My first experience with Dr. Jabbour was when I had an serious and painful condition which needed immediate attention. I was very impressed with how seriously his office staff took into consideration my issue. They got me in to see Dr. Jabbour immediately and he spent a good deal of time with me and was very patient and understanding of my pain and discomfort. On my follow up visits he continues to be caring and helpful.

At first the level of attention and care was quite good. However, during subsequent preparatory visits and for a procedure, I experienced much longer wait times, a late procedure start time and shorter consultation periods where he'd have one foot out the door while I was asking routine follow up questions. A member of the staff at the facility mentioned that he is known for being late so, unfortunately, in my case it resulted in a lack of sincerity during a very worrisome time and perhaps a little more as I also experienced a painful follow up symptom that was not typical of the type of procedure that I underwent, which he was unable to help with. I've since switched physicians for assistance with the problem. I realize medicine is a volume business these days though so take this for what it's worth.

Dr. Jabbour has a great bedside manner, which is really necessary in his field. I've never felt like just a "case" to him, but always very "humanized". I highly recommend him.
