Dr. Sally Elizabeth Horne, MD

Dr. Horne has been my neurologist for over 12 years. She helped diagnose my MS & has always been available to answer questions & concerns.

My wife had been under the care of Sally Horne for some time, She was losing her eye sight due to 3 different conditions, two of which DR Horne was treating, She sent my wife to another specialist for the other , An eye condition, My wife had surgery on both eyes and had to cancel an appointment with Sally Horne, that was one, Another time my wife and i had to take her mother to the Doctor and had to Cancel one more Appointment, that was two. My wife goes in to make another appointment and Sally Horne,s staff told her that Dr Horne would not see her, Every single one of her staff was very rude to my wife and treated her like some kind of Criminal , The office manager was also very Rude and treated my wife very badly. telling her that due to her canceling 3 appointments ,which was a flat out lie , that she could not be seen by Dr Horne. If this is what people get treated like in Dr Horne,s office and are happy with that then they must not have much to choose from. They were NOT… thoughtful or Compassionate and they seem to enjoy being Rude ,cold and uncaring . As far as the Doctor herself , when we saw her she seemed to care and know what she was talking about, But why dismiss a patience that really needed her. That could lose her eye sight , was having symptoms and very bad head aches . That shows me how heartless and cold she is.So i guess having a staff that is the same makes sense .

Saw her once and was NOT impressed. Was curt, I COULD NOT discuss anything with her except what i was referred for. How can she make a diagnosis without knowing all my symptoms. I finally had to call & complain for many reasons: no calls are returned, they didnt send notes and orders to my PCP with labs Dr. Horne wanted done (she passes stuff like that off on your PCP so she doesnt have to manage it). Her office is run terribly. She sent me for testing & after i called to complain about all the office nonsense, it obviously made her mad. I was told i needed to follow up with my PCP. What doctor sends a patient for additional testing and then doesn't want to follow up with patient regarding the results. Would not recommend Dr. Horne. She also needs a refresher course in bedside manner 101

Really compassionate. Helped me understand my diagnosis and answered all my questions. Spent plenty of time with me and was sincere when she wanted to know how I felt about the diagnosis. Highly recommend - though it's very hard to get an appointment with her unless she's your neurology doc in the ER and makes a followup that way.
