Dr. Sally Mellgren

Sally Mellgren, M.D. has practiced ophthalmology in Oceanside, California since 1987 before moving to Roswell, NM in 2016. As a board-certified ophthalmologist, she is highly respected and well-known in North San Diego County, Chaves County, and beyond as a compassionate, innovative physician and surgeon who remains on the cutting edge of new technology and approaches to caring for her patients. In her general ophthalmology practice, Dr. Mellgren specializes in the treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, laser vision correction, cornea and dry eye. She offers deluxe multifocal and astigmatism correction implants for cataract procedures. She does laser, i-stents and canaloplasty for glaucoma. For laser vision correction she offers LASIK, PRK, and the latest SMILE procedure. For very high myopia with or without astigmatism the Implantable Contact Lens (ICL) is available. For corneal clouding she offers DMEK, the latest in corneal transplantation.
